I was relieved to see it was a fleet of fire trucks, not the swat team. Fire trucks! Hey this isn't fog!

House around the corner in going up in flames. Had 5 fire engines there and a few utility vehicles. They needed so much water they brought a tanker truck with them, as you can see in the picture with the rockin hot Channel 12 News girl in it.

Ya know Bill, I was thinking the same thing. The lake is *maybe* a few hundred yards across the street.

I must say what they say is true, the camera adds a few pounds cuz in real life she was much hotter than in the photo.

It's always very sad when someone loses their home to a fire. I hope no one was hurt. :(

No worries Mel - no one was hurt. And in this neighborhood that lot probably has more value now than with that old house on it. Some millionaire is prolly gonna offer them a ton of money for it.

I didn't see any more commotion by it but the "news tart" (LMAO) was back interviewing some guy who looked like either a pimp in or Mike Tyson's new agent in front of it. It looked "not fitting".

Now that the smoke has cleared you can really see the damage. I'll post a "after" pic tomorrow.

That's quite something to wake up to... I'm glad that no one got hurt...

I saw on the news last night that this home was built by the owner's husband from the ground up with his own two hands 40 years ago. He was also murdered back in 2006 at the shop he owned in Milwaukee.

The fire apparently wasn't all the way out after firefighters left and reignited later in the day. The woman who lived there was obviously distraught, saying that this house contained all the memories of her recently departed husband.

Rekindled Muskego fire still a mystery

Muskego - Investigators have ruled out foul play but remain perplexed by a house fire that rekindled after firefighters were gone, the fire chief said today.

"That's a mystery to everybody," Chief Andy Mack said of the rekindled fire that destroyed a home Thursday on Muskego Drive.

Firefighters left the scene about 5 a.m. Thursday and returned an hour later to find the home in flames again.
Residents escaped the initial fire without injury and were checking into a hotel when they heard that the blaze had been rekindled.

Mack said investigators might never know exactly what happened, though he speculated that a smoldering ember was fanned by wind.

"That's every chief's worst nightmare," he said. "But it happens."

The funny thing about this is that Brew and I went to high school with your fire chief!

To lose ones precious memories has to be a hard thing to deal with, My brother lost everything in a house fire, sad sad sad

That is so sad. Esp after just losing her husband, those precious items that hold memories are so much more important after a death. That poor woman.
