Ok we got a room reserved for under $500 For the week of Sept. 20-27 at St Augustine FL! Hopefully gas will keep going down, I can wish can't I.
When Buddy sales a certain kind of tire we get points (Buddy sales commercial truck tires)the points are were you go on the internet and pick out what you want. Well I used them to buy Christmas with so they have been adding up.I went in and got gift cards for Best Buy so we can get a GPS so we don't get lost. I got $400 worth of gift cards to eat out on wile we are there. That should be enough money to feed us for 7 days. So cash wise we will have a fairly cheap vacation.The only thing we have to pay on the cards is we have to claim them at the end of the year. I am so happy the fedEx just delivered them. I don't plan on cooking on this vacation, cereal in the morning sandwiches  for lunch and good meal at night. Even have maid service. Yep going to love this vacation. I plan to get up at day break get me a cup of coffee and walk the beach till my legs get tired.
I love the ocean.

I agree on the getting lost part with Brew.  Some of the neatest places we've stumbled across when traveling were when we didn't really have a clue where we were.

I'd keep it the GPS nearby for when the going gets rough.  Seems like some people get a kick out of sending you on a wild goose chase.

Ooooh can I come?! I want to see the haunted lighthouse and I'd be really good company on those beach walks honest Elaine! I would, I would, I would!!!

I agree about the getting lost part......you never know what you'll find when you take a "short cut".

Brew and echo you know I get lost every where I go. I bet there is a post for every trip I ever took where I found myself lost. I figure the GPS might come in handed ya'll know how I am at getting lost. Plus Buddy and Deveny have to go on sale calls and can trade it from car to car. You are right I have seen some great sights being lost.

Oh Helen I would love it. Just come on down and go with us. Wouldn't that be a hoot you and me on a beach together. Man can you think of the fun we could have.

Buddy and I and Deveny are really looking forward to this trip and JD is so excited. He wants to climb the light house I think there is over 200 steps Nana isn't even going up there. I am staying on the beach. JD knows its the oldest town in America and he wants to see it bad. Plus he wants to see the ocean, he was just walking the last time he was there. He doesn't remember it.

uhm, Johnny, you just failed American history  ;).  Not only is Plymouth NOT the oldest town in America, it's the third oldest.  St. Augustine was founded in 1565, 55 years before Plymouth.  Jamestown was fpounded in 1607, 23 years before Plymouth.
