The leaves look a little like ivy, but the way it grows makes it look like Morning Glory to me.
I have some that look the same, they overtake all the plants around it. |

In could be wrong, (and I'm known to be when it comes to plants) but the wirery white floral reminds me of a version of a wandering Jew vine.
They are hearty plants that weather well indoors here in the Mid west. and if pinched back at just the right time, they make a lovely bushy vine that can crawl a trelis and hang the lovely blossoms towords the sunny windows. They die here over winters outdoors but there in Cali, they have a great climate for growth all year long. |

when in doubt "Round up"
I have no clue about the plant Char... I think it's kind of neat looking and would probably just let it go for a season to enjoy it.... but that's me. If you're afraid that it may be poisonous... use round-up on it. with warm regards, Tony |

Snip it off at ground level. It's more democratic, less totalitarian. |

The best horticultural minds here at Cal Poly are stumpped. One does have a neighbor who heads the invasive plant org and is going to ask him. Should have an answer tomorrow.
I swear I've seen this thing while hiking the hills & creeks. |
