Lisa used to keep a can in her orchestra bag, her pool locker and her back pack. It got her through her last year of college.

Thanks everyone. That was such a great call on Angie's part. I dreaded telling our friends that I cannot go riding in the evenings as I cannot be out of sight of my o2. But thanks to Angie suggesting packing a Red Bull in my backpack was a great call.
If I get a hit out there, I can slam it back and that should buy me enough time to get back to my car and o2. All went well last night and had no hit while riding but nice knowing I could do something about it if it happened. Big hugs to all the supporters out there, you guy's rock!!!! ;) |

Angie is not only pretty but she is one smart cookie, too. You've got one heck of a good Lady there, Barry!!
Fight the beast any way that you can and don't let him take away your enjoyment or times spent with good friends. I bet it ticks him off to see us fight back so hard. |

Supporters are proof God loves us
When we're sitting here, in the throes of an attack asking "Why me God? WHY?" supporters pass us o2, pass us meds, pass us support and unconditional love while breaking their hearts and feeling they are helpless. If it wasn't for the love and support I've had here - well, lets not go there. They don't just get us through the hits, they find ways for us to deal with the fear and take back our lives and Angie, you are living proof of this. You don't just look after Barry when he's getting hit, you make damn sure he enjoys every minute of his life he can. You, lady, are an inspiration, a joy and an incredible human being. CH may take our lives away - but Supporters grab it and give it right back. God bless them Thank you for sharing this story Barry, not only did it make me smile and feel a little tearful but it gave me a chance to do one of my favourite things, Thank a Supporter lots of love Helen xxx |

Thank you Helen for those kind words, brought a tear to my eye.
I really do not think I could be half the supporter that Angie is and she continues to stay calm and quiet during my hits, checking on me to make sure all is good with the o2 and getting the beast under control until the next attack. I think I, for one, sometimes take her for granted so I will be more careful to not let that happen. Barry [smiley=hug.gif] |

Good call on the Red Bull.
I remember when Blake was afraid to fish because of the hits. After a bit of prodding he tried and it was OK. Yep....pack up what you think you'll need and have at it. The beast is gonna find ya if he wants to bad enough ...so why not try to enjoy as much good time as you can. Teach the SOB you can kick his ass anywhere..... :) Have a great weekend, Barry. You and Angie are a lovely couple and a good team. Much Love, Jackie |

Good call Angie!
Barry, have you given any thought to getting your hands on a d-tank? It should be just enough O2 to abort a single hit and doesn't weigh that much. -Dennis- |

Excellent point Dennis, & good call Angie, just a thought but .... put a cup of coffee in the microwave before hitting the sack, 30 seconds will take the chill off, I find that it's a good defense for those 'night hits' would be nice if you could put the beast where it ought to reside Barry, you've done your tour, this chit should be over & done with ..........
peace be with you bud , Drew.... |
