It was hot dogs, hamburgers with a blackberry BBQ glaze, and chicken with a teryaki marinade.  I also made corn and baked beans for 16 guests.

My guests aldo brought chinese rice noodles, a chinese dumpling, and am beef and bean pan fried dish.  All were amazing.

A cherry cheesecake was enjoyed with watermelon or cookies.

The same food will be eaten in my house for a week.

Bratwurst, of course!!  With potato salad, cucumber salad, cantaloupe and watermelon, chips, and home made raspberry ice cream for dessert.

Gramma Shirley (84 years young) is joining us because she hasn't had a brat all summer.

We did a group ride at our cycling center followed by a BBQ. We had burgs, dogs, brats and lots of salads. Very good!

Angie was one of the cooks.

No Qing just homemade veggie stew and a just kneaded rye bread is raising.  Since I've become the BBQ chef at work, I don't do much grilling at home.

meat has lost it's appeal;)

LOL!  Thankfully Jeff doesn't mind the meat portion of our meal.  He likes to say "Meat is Murder....tasty, tasty murder".

Didn't mean to swear on a G rated forum;)

Can this kind of comment be tolerated on a message board?  Please ban this "person".  Charred animal flesh can't lose its appeal, period.

I need a filet mignon with a Ribeye side and a salad (KC Strip with parsley garnish).  STAT!!!!!!

Didn't have any special gatherings but by chance grilled little tenderloins because we grill year-round even in the rain and snow!
Too bad we couldn't have bashed someone else's party, everything sounds like fun!!!

Whats on the grill this weekend? Baking soda.  Grease built up in a recess under the heating elements and caught fire on Sunday. Took two kitchen fire extinguishers to put it out. Ruined the grill.  Good excuse for a new one as the grill was old and I never liked it to start with.

I agree - but it keeps peace in the house. Covered in BBQ sauce they're edible.

Isn't chicken like an appetizer or something? :D

To much of a pain in the ass for me, although charcoal grilling has lots of positives.

This guy does all his cooking with charcoal and you can see all of the positives in his videos.

It rained all day here and Angie had to work until 5:00pm so we opted for a take out pizza, not worthy of a pic though.

Jonny, I wish I was having dinner at your place, that looks sooooo good! ;)

Tonight it will be Ostrich steaks.

Tomorrow probably Bison T-Bones

Wednesday I'm thinking Swordfish.

Ok - so it goes against the "Whats on the grill this weekend" theme, but I'm sure you can deal with it.

What does ostrich taste like?  What kind of texture does it have?  I've never been brave enough to try it.  Which is strange because my dad was Italian and we ate some pretty weird stuff growing up.

The dark meat has a steak texture. Taste is difficult to describe.  Kind of a cross between duck, beef and lamb. Not at all gamey.  Grills like a sirloin steak.
