Yup, he has a bug, was throwing up all night last night and was coming out the other end this morning.  He cried so bad when I told him he couldn't go to school when he asked "can I go now that I went poop?".  My heart just aches for him. :(

Adorable and adorably sad! Who is Lily? Certainly you do nothave an 8th grader Mel..........

I hope he feels better soon.

Tell him if it is any consolation, he will wind up not wanting to go to school eventually.

Aw - poor Eli.  What a huge disappointment for him.  Give him a hug for me Melly and while you're at it - tell Lily she's way too grown up now.  Wherever did that cute "little" girl go.  She's a true beauty.

Oooh poor little Eli!!!! I hope he's feeling better soon. My friends son started several years ago with chicken pox. They look forward to kindergarten all summer!  Will he be 1/2 day or all day?

I did not want to let him go, but his daddy said he was fine and that he was going.  Needless to say, all last night I was having anxiety attacks.  Seems that I have trouble letting go. :(

I hope his day is going good and that he eats a good lunch!!!

I miss him!!!!! :'(

Well, Eli sure looks happy to be going.   :)

Glad he's feeling better.  And don't worry, Mel--he'll be just fine.  Bet he'll be full of stories when he gets home.

Mel - my sister was exactly the same yesterday. It was my nephew's first full day in school too. Because of the way the school year works here (everyone turns the same age in the school year, so goes Sept - Aug in terms of birthdays), he was 4 in Aug, so is the baby of the class. He loved it but was VERY tired yesterday!
