Hello everybody,
I'm a guy from quebec city,qc,canada.
I'll do my best to write down in english (i'm not really used to)

Now there the help i want:
I'm a student in graphic design at the "Université Laval" and i have a project of poster, and i have chosen for subect the CH, cause i've been diagnosticted (not sure this word exist sorry) at the age of 12 or 13, lived hell for 2 years and after been transformed in episodic, and lucky not seen the beast for a year and a half. I would like to do a poster that communicate what the clusterheadches are in pictures.

I would like that you do for me what we call a mindmapping. You just write words you think when you think about "CH"
And if you want you can put informations you judge is interesting like statistics and everything.

  The board you are on right now..."Getting to know you' as well as the one below it.."medications"  and the one above it..."cluster headaches Specific"   have all kinds of testimonies if you will, as to what people experience during a cluster headache.   Just read several of the threads and you should be able to glean everything you want to know.

You say you've been diagnosed with Cluster headaches so you should be able to relate,  as well as add your own impressions.

English is a second language for me, too, especially when it comes to apostrophe's.

How do you always manage to get them so correct?

Hello everybody, i have gotten much questions about all that and i'm gonna respond all of them.

1. Why do i have three post? cause i'm new to this and got it all wrong when i first post, got an error message, then do it again, that make two, and after this i've been thinking it was not posted at the good place then reposted a third. Here the reason  :)

2. Why do i've choosed the CH for my poster? Right now, i'm studying a way do become a professionnal of the communication by the image. The CH is a good subject for me cause i've gone throught this like all of you, then i understand well when you say you suffer. It's something that much of poeple don't know about and it could be profitable for us that everybody know, for the research fund, the animosity we can create around us, be less judjed, and finaly it's a great subjet cause it's a great challenge make understand a part of our disease cause it's  much like a concept.

3. How am i that good in english?? First cause i work in a very touristic place, and secondly cause i try my best to let much open doors for me in the future, and communicate in english is important selon moi (a bit of french for you :))

4. Poeple say to me to go see the other posts to see of what i'm talking of. I've done so far and thank to everybody learned much of thing. But what i would like is an exercise where you to put the words you think when you think to CH. I'll do an exemple :

Ch= pain, needles, punch, o2, wife, hell, flame, eyeball, stop, illness, etc. (for me it's a bit difficult the words come in french and it's not always easy to translate)

If you want to do it it will help much in giving me more keys to create a stong and communicant poster (it will be a 22x34) and i'll take a pic of my creation and post it in there in thanks to all the helpers

Sorry, I'm always wary when somebody asks me to do work for their senior project.

I don't think it's doing the project for him. It's just giving him some words that describe it. It would be doing it for him if we were drawing the images ourselves. It's just giving the guy some ideas.

Here are some that come to mind for me : Shadows, Fear, Pain, Ice picks, monster, beast, losing control, war, battles, fighting, alone, anger.

(Alone is because I prefer to be alone during the headaches. Anger at the headaches for interfering.)

yeah that's it, it's what i want, just what you think about CH in simples words, that help me to visualize something over of what we usually see at first.
It's supposed to be fun or at least in our case introspective. Let yourself there no bad answer if the word that come at your head is "dog" then be it, no bad answer.
It's not doing my job at my place, i could have done this without asking to the concerned people, but it just don't feel right for me.

haha thank you guys and girls. It's facinating to try to illustrate this.
right now i have'nt started the pic, cause i'm working to gather much of pertinent information if you'd seen my scrap book you would be "woow there's that much to say" yes there are lolol. You have the guys on youtube who've film themeselves, much of goadsby interview. Seen much of them, i'll continue this week.

Hi Mhirr, I've been to the academy of arts myself, so I understand perfectly the word association games to invoke images in your head. Art school was great!

Some words: to cringe, cower, demon, kick in the eye (continuously), knitting needles at various points, scourged earth (my way to describe the afterburns), electric storm,  godforsaken, excruciating, haze of pain, secluded, and frankly I could go on for hours.

Colours? I always imagine it to be a dark, even black place, with strokes of both dirty green and bright green. Kinda hazy really. And I've always thought of an entity whose face I can't see. Hence we call it the Beast. This is such a delibitating condition, we personalize it for our own sanity.

waaahhh i really like that poeple there gone to school of art (you're the second one maalstroom), you understand that it's important to go deepest in our research.

This said i've done my second "cours" (don't know the word in english). There we have tell to the others what was our subject. You should have seen the eyes of poeple when i have said that mine was CH. Nobody at all know something on it. :o It's really worth trying to do something about it.

Right now, we had to find differents sub-subjects, then i have chosen
1. The pain 2. The isolation 3. the difference between CH and the other headaches 4. The progress of the research on CH 5. The CH treatment 6. The proportion of people touched by the Ch 7. The different types of CH (episodic and chronic) and finally 8. The definition of CH

This week i'm gonna do a complete research on all these sub-subject
go to bibliotheque, search for article and everything.
If any of you have good references they're welcome.

But what i really want is that you continue to express yourself about the beast !!!
Everybody is such an help there, thank you very much. And i hope you all no pain.
