Hilarious and sadly true.
My theory is that in 1957, I had access to three commercial television stations. In 2007, hundreds, and not very good ones at that. It's too much information and all this iffy data scares the beejesus out of us and we over-react with arbitray rules and law. Just one theory. Charlie |

1957- Dj Is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to the AirForce and starts a web-site that helps thousands...and growing. ... ;) |

it's a sad reality. i remember in high school we could get a smoking pass from our parents and dear season was an excusable absence. hell i remember in shop class we used to make ashtrays, pipes all kinds of stuff. i even busted some preppy kids nose one time. i did get suspended and an ass kicking from dad when he got off the road but that was about it. i think thats part of whats wrong. nobody gets their ass beat anymore.

Scenario: The US economy sucks big time.
1941: The President thrusts the US into "the only right war ever waged" to help her engaged allies. The US ends up being looked up to world-wide and the wartime production spurs the econmony to record levels. Currently: The President act unilaterly, using far-fetched excuses to attack a country not capable of harming the US or her allies. The President belittles and bullies the US's longtime allies, grants himself more personal power to the office of POTUS, and more people die in this "war" than in the unrealted event (9-11) that served as the ecxuse for it in the first place. Instead of spurring on he sputtering economy he created by turning the record surplus he inherited from the previous administration into a record deficiet. All while an oil company posted the largest profit of ANY company in ALL of US history. While the rest of America worries about keeping thier jobs he has been very efficant in funneling the tax-payers dollars to his special interest groups. |

Have to agree with that one.
What else he did of course, to get the country in the mood and behind the war effort by urging Americans to go out and do some shopping and take the kids to Disneyland. No victory gardens or "Loose Lips Sink Ships." You have to have to respect your citizens and allies when you go to war. Charlie |

think of all the cheap shit that arrives in our ports everyday from china. what do you think the mind set would be back in 1941 about depending on a communist country for all we consume.
