I just heard a rumor that the company I service is in the process of being sold. There are a few scenarios that could play out but most of them result in me ending up unemployed.

Anyone know of an opening for an IT manager or an MCSE please let me know!

PS - I decided I will vote for whoever will fix this shitty economy!

Please let me know which canidate that would be because that's where my vote is going too!

Sorry for the bad news. I have a friend in the same boat who has been unsuccessfuly looking about a month.

My company just laid off about 27 IT Directors nation wide last week with no intent to hire new ones.  They are just adding more workload on to the remaining folks.  

More layoffs are expected before the Holidays inside sources are saying.

I'll keep my eyes and ears open Jamey. I know lots of people in the IT business because of what I do.

This is gonna get hard. This morning I had to choke back my tears when Erika was getting the kids ready. Normally I do not worry about letting my emotions show, but I don't want to scare her - it could only hurt us right now.

If I do get outright canned things will be very tight. I hate to think I could be one of those forclosure numbers but that certainly is possible.

I have to admit I am scared. Last night I had a dream about meeting with the region HR guy. When I woke up it just felt surreal. I feel like I was beaten with socks full of oranages.

If I wasn't a parent this would be fairly easy to take - I am not afraid to do any work for any income that would sustain my life evn in the meagerest fashion. But with the kids I need to make a certain level of income to just cover the child care, which around here isn't cheap. And my wife doesn't make enough to make dropping the child care enough to cover our bills. We are right in the middle it seems.

Not to mention we did all the house fixing with our savings. If I was going to have to forclose I wish I would have done it already and not forclose on a partially fixed house with all my money tied up in it. Terrible timing.

To top it off I got a cold, Dashel fell down the stairs yesterday and he has a cold. Things are looking down.

I think I need a good day of in-bed crying to get it out of my system so I can put on the happy face and get positive minded and work on some solutions. In my current state of mind all I se is grey.

Well, back to work.......
