I always liked the quote from John Lennon,,, he was asked ,"what are ya, dem or rep.?" He replied," I would like to be a baggist". The reporters says,"HUH???" . Lennon replied," I wish all candidates would stand on a stage for a debate, ALL with bags over their complete bodies, that way we wouldnt see their color, or their sex, or if their clothes were expensive or poor. we could only hear their views on the subjects at hand." I always thought that was typical Lennon!! Tuck

Just remember that when you make abortion illegal, the number of partial birth abortions will significantly increase.
Also, on the three o'clock in the morning call, I have no problem asking God's help on the decision on the earthquake that is happening. This is what happens when the complete context is not posted. The last paragraph in that statement on Fact Check says this,
"Whether opposing "born alive" legislation is the same as supporting "infanticide," however, is entirely a matter of interpretation. That could be true only for those, such as Obama's 2004 Republican opponent, Alan Keyes, who believe a fetus that doctors give no chance of surviving is an "infant." It is worth noting that Illinois law already provided that physicians must protect the life of a fetus when there is "a reasonable likelihood of sustained survival of the fetus outside the womb, with or without artificial support." And, for the record, after the fetus is viable, there should be NO reason to perform a partial-birth abortion, UNLESS delivering this baby (remember, we're talking viable here, and the earliest infant delivered to live was at the 5.5 mth. gestation.) would endanger the mother's life (and I haven't really found too many cases like that). |

Title: Re: I blame Bush! Post by Charlie on Sep 19th, 2008 at 8:07pm
As crappy and devisive as it is, it's hard not to look at it, and from a different perspective. What has happened since Roe v. Wade is the constant ranting from pro-lifers. It's they who have made abortion popular. Abortion was new to me at the time. I knew almost nothing about it. Now because of all the stories and illustrations of its horrors, everybody now knows how not to do it and of course they inadvertantly learn how to do it successfully. The unintended result is that along the way, there is so much more information about it and how it is done. It has made it something for people who never considered it, to realize that it's an option. Those who cannot afford decent medical care would be the most vulnerable, of course.
Also, should it become a seriously punishable thing, it will in effect sawmp the legal system. What are you going to do....put tens of thousands of men and women in prison after spending years in court battles? Of course you can think of such an outcome as a serious form of child abuse because of the terrible damage done by destroying existing families. It will tear apart the homelife of millions of children, friends, grandparents and relatives. There will be thousands of children growing up under the care of people who may not like the burden of raising kids and increase the chances of sexual abuse. Too, these kids from destroyed families will grow up hating the judical system, law enforcement, and will have significantly lower success in education and development. They may find jobs building more prisons though for the eventually, hundreds of thousands imprisoned parents and friends caught up in this buzzsaw. Lots of construction jobs and employment counseling for more anti-social children. We'll need a hundred thousand more police also to handle all these "criminals." Simplistic solutions should not be confused with wisdom. Just something to think about. Egad! Sorry kids. :o Charlie |

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not voting for Obama. AND for the record, I'm not voting for McCain either. Hell, from what I've read on the independents, I may not vote at all! Lord only knows what will be dragged up next. Oooooh, charlie called jonny, sweetie ;D I did find what I was looking for (so far that is, because I'm still looking). This does provide protection for an infant that is born alive as a result of partial birth abortion. Section 5 states, "The General Assembly finds that all children who are born alive are entitled to equal protection under the law regardless of the circumstances surrounding the birth. Children who are born alive as the result of an induced labor abortion or any other abortion are in special need of protection due to the fact that the intent of their birth is to cause the death of the born child." Meanwhile... The hippie dopers from the 60s... Ah… pardon me... Make that the Pelosi Politburo has passed a bill in the House, (H.R. 6899, the so-called "Comprehensive American Energy Security and Consumer Protection Act."), literally in the dark of night, that EFFECTIVELY PROHIBITS domestic drilling and is trying to sell this legislation to the American people as a measure that opens up domestic drilling! If you think I’m blowing smoke, go read the bill…. I did. The Pelosi Politburo thinks all the kool-aid drinkers are too stupid to read...

Try $8 a gallon for gas, a 35% increase in tax in one form or another on for size then tell me it's all the fault of President Bush... Don't forget the Pelosi Politburo also wants to let in a half million more aliens a year and give them social security in one form or another the day they step on US soil... that will come out of your pocket too... Remember liberalism is a mental disorder... killing unborn babies is their holy grail, and the obamanoids want to make it the National religion... Give me Johny Mac and Sarah any day... V/R, Batch |

It's easy to see the kind of radio entertainment you like Batch.
Here's mine. START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!! You need to ![]() ![]() This pretty much lays out the kind of fecal residue we are to expect from far right radio screamers. It's a good read kids. This is a quote toward the end that pretty much sums it up: We asked several radio hosts to come on this broadcast and talk about the story; they either declined or didn't return our calls. The issue of course is not their right to say anything they want on the air. The First Amendment guarantees their free speech as it does mine. Government shouldn't be the arbiter of what the Bill of Rights leaves to one's own sense of fair play. Watching that report, however, I was reminded of a story from folk lore about the tribal elder telling his grandson about the battle the old man was waging within himself. He said, "My son it is between two wolves. One is an evil wolf: anger, envy, sorrow, greed, self-pity, guilt, resentment, lies, false pride, superiority and ego. The other is the good wolf: joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, generosity, truth, compassion and faith." The boy took this in for a few minutes and then asked, "Which wolf won?" His grandfather answered, "The one I feed." So, too, America's public life. The wolf that wins is the wolf we feed. Media provides the fodder. Charlie |

Time for a late lunch so here is Maureed Dowd the other day.
Have fun kids. You don't have to like her to enjoy: Barbies For War Carly Fiorina, the woman John McCain sent out to defend Sarah Palin and rip anyone who calls her a tabula rasa on foreign policy and the economy, admitted Tuesday that Palin was not capable of running Hewlett-Packard. That’s pretty damning coming from Fiorina, who also was not capable of running Hewlett-Packard. Carly helpfully added that McCain (not to mention Obama and Biden) couldn’t run a major corporation. He couldn’t get his immigration bill passed either, but now he’s promising to eliminate centuries of greed on Wall Street. The Wall Street Journal reported that McCain was thinking about taking Palin to the U.N. General Assembly next week so she can shake hands with some heads of state. You can’t contract foreign policy experience like a rhinovirus. To paraphrase the sniffly Adelaide in “Guys and Dolls,” a poy-son could develop a cold war. The latest news from Alaska is that the governor keeps a tanning bed in the Juneau mansion. As The Los Angeles Times pointed out, when Palin declared May 2007 Skin Cancer Awareness Month in Alaska, the press release explained that skin cancer was caused by “the sun and from tanning beds.” I sautéed myself in Sarahville last week. I wandered through the Wal-Mart, which seemed almost as large as Wasilla, a town that is a soulless strip mall without sidewalks set beside a soulful mountain and lake. Wal-Mart has all the doodads that Sarah must need in her career as a sportsman — Remingtons and “torture tested” riflescopes, game bags for caribou, machines that imitate rabbits and young deer and coyotes to draw your quarry in so you can shoot it, and machines to squish cows into beef jerky. I talked to a Wal-Mart mom, Betty Necas, 39, wearing sweatpants and tattoos on her wrists. She said she’s never voted, and was a teenage mom “like Bristol.” She likes Sarah because she’s “down home” but said Obama “gives me the creeps. Nothing to do with the fact that he’s black. He just seems snotty, and he looks weaselly.” Ten Obama supporters in Wasilla braved taunts and drizzle to stand on a corner between McDonald’s and Pizza Hut. They complained that Sarah runs government like a vengeful fiefdom and held up signs. A guy with a bullhorn yelled out of a passing red car: “Go back to the city, you liberal Communists!” At gatherings in The Last Frontier, pastors pray for reporters, drilling evokes cheers and Todd Palin is hailed as a guy who likes to burn fossil fuels. I had many “Sarahs,” as her favorite skinny white mocha is now called, at the Mocha Moose. “I’ve seen her at 4 a.m. with no makeup,” said manager Karena Forster, “and she’s just as beautiful.” I stopped by Sarah’s old Pentecostal church, the Wasilla Assembly of God, and perused some books: “The Bait of Satan,” “Deliverance from PMS,” and “Kissed the Girls and Made them Cry: Why Women Lose When They Give In.” (Author Lisa Bevere advises: “Run to the arms of your prince and enter your dream.”) In Anchorage Saturday, I went by a conference conducted by James Dobson’s Focus on the Family and supported by Sarah’s current church, the Wasilla Bible Church, about how to help gays and lesbians “journey out” of same-sex attraction. (As The Times reported recently, in 1995, Palin, then a city councilwoman, told colleagues she had seen “Daddy’s Roommate” on the shelf of the library and did not approve. The Wasilla Assembly of God tried to ban “Pastor, I Am Gay” by Howard Bess, a liberal Christian preacher in nearby Palmer.) Anne Heche’s mother, Nancy, talked about her distress when her daughter told her she was involved with Ellen. Jeff Johnston told me he had “a struggle” with homosexuality “for a season,” but is now “happily married with three boys.” (Books for sale there included “Mommy, Why Are They Holding Hands?” and “You Don’t Have to Be Gay.”) I covered a boisterous women against Palin rally in Anchorage, where women toted placards such as “Fess up about troopergate,” “Keep your vows off my body,” “Barbies for war!” “Sarah, please don’t put me on your enemies list,” and “McCain and Palin = McPain.” A local conservative radio personality, Eddie Burke, who had lambasted the organizers as “a bunch of socialist, baby-killing maggots,” was on hand with a sign reading “Alaska is not Frisco.” “We are one Supreme Court justice away from overturning Roe v. Wade,” he excitedly told me. R. D. Levno, a retired school principal, flew in from Fairbanks. “She’s a child, inexperienced and simplistic,” she said of Sarah. “It’s taking us back to junior high school. She’s one of the popular girls, but one of the mean girls. She is seductive, but she is invented.” Charlie |

Obama to raise taxes on the wealthy and corporations only?
Yes, using the big lie which is the dirty little secret that the Leftists do not want discussed, a tax increase is planned for every human being living and dead in the USA, legal citizen or not. When you hear a Leftist talk about taxing the Corporations and not taxing the poor, you are being told the “BIG LIE”. What is the “Big Lie”? Corporations do not pay taxes. They simply collect them. For all of you that march in lock step with the Obama camp, let me put it to you this way. The Big Bad Corporation that produces K-Y Jelly has just had their taxes raised by Obama. These Taxes add up to a total of 1 penny per unit produced. Sounds small doesn’t it. K-Y Corporation then adds one and 1/10th penny to the cost of each unit to their distributors. Why the 1/10th addition? K-Y has to pay accountants and administration staff to deduct the tax from their proceeds, and pay it to the Federal Government, not to mention State and Local governments. If they don’t keep the books they can go to jail. The Distributor now has to add another 1.1 penny to each unit sold to the retailer. The Retailer add another 1.1 penny, until it is sold to the user who has to pay an additional 3.3 cents per unit bought. NOTE: K-Y Corporation is only being used as an example, so the indoctrinated Left can relate. This will apply to every corporation in America so each and every item of anything you purchase will cost you a few pennies more. Every person, no matter what age, race, gender, gender preference, religion, income status, or legal status who buys anything legally will suffer the tax increase. (Does not apply for items bought on the black market) For all of you “Lock Step Liberals” going to College, the next time you buy one of your professor’s $120.00 text books; it will cost you $125.00. Hope your feeling patriotic. The Professor of course will tell you about the evils of capitalism and the virtues of Marxism as he receives his check from the book store for the sale. The Hollywood left will scratch their heads and blame the Movie houses for raising ticket prices when people cutback on entertainment, and their hundreds of millions of movie revenue is reduced to 10’s of millions. And so on and so on…… Bottom line: Corporations don’t pay corporate taxes; they collect them for the Government. When you hear anyone say Tax the Corporations and cut taxes for the middle class, they are lying to you because they think you are too stupid to know any better. Something like 40 miles electric, 400 on gas. I don't know a price estimate. I guess U.S. automakers likewise gave up an argument convincing consumers that designing and building fuel-efficient cars that are smaller, less crashworthy and less safe than big SUV's has changed, too. Marketing will suddenly ignore that approach of safety versus non-safety, which influenced consumer priorities, since it's no longer profitable to them. It's easy to see what priority the word "drill" is aimed at but presenting of drill or not drill to market one political party or the other seem ineffective as options of "your choice" for struggling Americans. Moving on now past this big victory, options excluded might seem more interesting. |

They all LIE like rugs, get money from places they shouldnt, make promises they cant or wont keep >:( So why in the hell would I want to vote for someone who is going to put my country even deeper in the shitter! Give me someone who has some BALLS who will tell the f*king truth. Dont tell me what you THINK I want to hear but tell me what I NEED to hear! I can deal. Im an AMERICAN born and raised! Tired of someone pissin in my ear and tellin me its raining and yet my boots are getting soaked! >:( Im going back to my cell now.................Leesa [smiley=oops.gif] PS: the damn media dont help this mess eirther!!! >:( |
