Title: Cubbies
Post by MR_FLOOR on Sep 19th, 2008 at 10:53am
How about those Cubs. What a come back Yesterday. It just goes you that you can't fall asleep not even for a minute against this team. When Braun (not sure of spelling) missed that low liner by Ramirez, the flood gates just opened. That was one of the best comebacks I have seen in a long time and against a good team. I know Cub fans have been saying this for ..... well...... 100 years or so , but this could be the year. That sounds so funny when I say that.   GO CUBS GO.

As much as I admire your enthusiasm for your Cubs,  I'll be pulling for my Phils who have just the 1980 title in about 125 years of existance.  Could line up for a Phils/Cubs showdown on the NLCS.  But lets not count our chickens before they are hatched.

Brett Myers hits the mound tonight.  Turning  into an exciting season heh?

GO PHILS!!!!!!!

Bottom of the ninth, 2 outs, nobody on base, Brewers lead 6-2. Braun misses the low liner and it goes all the way to the wall. Then Torres serves up a big, meaty softball to Soto and the game is tied.

You can't tell me that wasn't one of the biggest choke jobs by a MLB team this year.

I fully admit that the Cubs look like a team of destiny this year. And a lesser team might not have been able to hit that softball out of the park. But I am encouraged by the way the Brewers played against the Cubs the last three days. There was some fire in their bellies I haven't seen in quite some time.

That is what I'm talking about.I have watched alot of Cub teams over the years and I don't think I have ever seen one with this eye of the tiger.

And Braun should have caught that ball and the Cubs should have never won that game. But thats one thing about this team they see an opening and they go through it.  GO CUBS

Have you tried my recommendation yet? Cheering for the Brewers might actually change your body chemistry and bring this bi+ch of a cycle to a quick end. ;D
