I've been on this board and a member of OUCH for a very long time.  Because I'm a supporter I've always tried to kinda watch after the new (to the board) supporters.  You know....let them know we understand, try to cheer them on, exchange tips and ideas that have worked for Blake and I, etc.  I can't even count the number of e-mails, IM's, etc that have gone on.........

OK, OK....I'll get to the point.... :)

I've meet dozens of great supporters and some real shit ones too.
Today I had the great pleasure of speaking with a relative newbie supporter among us.  What a delight she is.....totally dedicated to doing what it takes to help her sufferer.....a sweetheart of a person.....great attitude, etc.  Yep, indeed a pleasure.

We'll be speaking again soon, flipperlips :)

Thanks Jackie for being there for a newcomer...and flipperlips...you found a great place to learn and be supported as well.

May PF times come to your sufferer very soon, and keep haning out here.  Lots of good people like Jackie, (and lovable old codjers like Chuck ;)) here to help you help your self and your partner in pain.

Okay guys my head is starting to swell   ;D Really I wanted to be the first to respond to the post, but I truly couldn't find the right words and I was so moved that I acutally shed a few tears.  I'm a pretty tough chick and I can take a lot of shit, but deep down I'm a very emotional person.  I do the things I do because I love my husband.  If it would help I would go to the depths of hell to make him better.

I want to learn, learn and learn some more about CH.  I want to be as awesome as Jackie is.  Lady, you have really been a lifeline for me and I know I've already said it in a PM, but I just can't thank you enough.  Someday, I hope that I can help supporters and sufferers they way you have helped Phil and me.  We need to get more supporters joining the boards.  It seems like they write their initial post and respond a few times and then their gone.

Thanks for the shout out Dennis, I want to be a cheerleader for all sufferers and supporters.

Thanks for the PF wishes Redd, I hope Phil has some PF time soon.

I was recently, last week, wondering how to be a better supporter, questioning this whole thing and Jackie was there for me. It was my first time I really got to talk to her. I have a good feeling how much she helped Jen because she did wonders for me! I am a supporter, but not of a young child or a spouse. I often feel alone here but Jackie really helped me sort this out. Thanks again!!!

You have no idea how lucky you are to have hooked up with Jackie.  She is one classy lady who goes way out of her way to help others.  Give it a few years around here and you will see what I mean.  You will want to be sure to come over to Davcon in Jan and get to know them, and meet some other really great folks.

Thanks jimmers.  He is pretty lucky to have me.  BTW, I'm pretty modest  ;)  LOL!!!!!!!

I think that we're both pretty lucky to have each other.  We're espcially lucky to have found the great family here.  The CH family is the best.

I thought real hard about my word alone. I almost wrote "unique". I love the relationships,support and help everyone has given me and being a part of this but my situation is really different. My child is an adult who doesn't have a spouse to help her. She isn't very young so I have to be careful to find that happy medium with her independence and letting go, yet still being there for her. Carrie has been so much help to me because she has very recently gone through this particular situation.

I hope I haven't offended anyone because so many people have really made me feel very welcome and a part of this. It has also helped me professionaly see my students parents in a new light.
