He was one of a kind and never let Hollywood mess up who he was.

One amazing man, from his acting, to his philanthropic endeavors, to his lifelong love affair with his wife, JoAnne Woodward. My sympathies to the entire family. This is a huge loss.

My first memories were Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. What a wonderful movie and a wonderful man.

My first movie at the drive-in was Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I was 4. I have always been a fan. His resort in Utah is great, too. the have a restaurant with a great big tree growing right through it (The Tree Room at Sundance). They serve the best pepper steak I have ever tasted.

It is sad he's gone.

Which movie, he rents a 4 speed Trans Am, about an early 70's and is a bounty hunter and brings the car back totally trashed?

A very favorite actor and person for a long time. Always been an inspiration. Simply a great guy. His name charity will live on to be remembered. Saddening to lose such a person.

Since "The Hustler" he caught me forever.

Had a party yesterday, so it is only now that I hear of it.
I know less than zero about his personal life, but I have seen some of his work and always enjoyed it.

He was one of my favorites. don't think he ever made a Bad movie. And those blue eyes.... RIP - he'll be missed.
