Yes it is easy to get wrapped up in it. While the Cubbies have made it to the championships in 100 years, the brewers have not made it to the post season sone 1982. Kind of hard to believe it has been than long. I am excited, though to be honest I really don't expect much to come of it - they got in becasue they played the Cubs who had nothing to play for and looked like they were mailing it in.

Anyways it is still very exciting and I do hope they can prove me wrong and make a deep run!

Good thing too, with the Packers managment running the team into the ground for Ted Thompson's own selfish needs, that just backfired on them this weekend, we need some good sports news around here!

I'm not much for trash talking but.........LETS GO PHILS!!!!!!!  If Brett Myers can turn in a good performance, I think we should win this series.  However, the curse of William Penn still looms over Philly sports teams and they usually find a way to choke.  I have been waiting most of my life to see a Championship.

I would be rooting for the Brewers if they were playing anyone else.  They have good players and good fans. But again....LETS GO PHILS

Yeah, I blame the choice-makers. In sports the saying goes "the players are paid to play, and the coaches are paid to win".

Thompson got rid of the most reliable QB in NFL history, with a guy (Rogers) who has got talent, but everyone knew his reliablility was questionable at best. Now 4 games into the season the Packers are going to have to play Rogers hurt, which isn't good for the team or Rogers recovery, or play a rookie QB which isn't good for a team that still should have a shot at the playoffs.

Yeah, it seems like terrible planning to me.

Let's say my family and I are going on a road trip. It is my wife's job to pack the food adn get the kids ready and my job to plan the route and get the car ready. If we run out of gas on the way there who should be blamed?

If the Packers road trip is to the SuperBowl, and we suddenly find we do not have the resourcs to get there, I blame the guy whose job it was to make sure the resources were supposed to be there.

And with Rogers situation, Thompson even had a sign that read "Last gas for 100 miles" (i.e. he knew rogers durability was suspect.) and he still didn't listen to the people telling him he needed to fill up.

And I was never a fan of blaming "the team". I played on losts of teams and when that happened the guys who did their job get the same punishment as the guys who didn't. Woodson had a great game - hard to blame him.

Blaming a generic entity is a bit to ambigious for me. I like accountablility and personal responsibility. Thats just me though, everyone has a right to see things as they fit for them. But I wouldn't want to be Charles Woodson if you ran the Packrs (JK - LOL)  :D

LOL!

Yeah the boys of summer get to play into the fall...........

I say the same thing about basketball in late April / May after the season has gone on for 6 months. I thought this was a *winter* sport.

I guess those sponsors need games to show us products on TV during game time. Longer seasons equal more games which equal more money.

It is nice to see some new blood in the post season.  I can't believe neither NY team made, it is a nice change.

I have a friend in Milwaukee who, along with friends and other big Brewers fans, went out to the lakefront and partied...he even got on the news, claims he.

But that's just awesome ^^
