yeah thats why those slow ass truck drivers drive so slow. not looking ahead far enough to anticipate a disaster is unprofessional. as far as turning left into oncoming traffic.... i don't know what thats all about. theres allot of dumbass people that drive trucks like with anything else i guess. [smiley=confused.gif] thanks for taking the time to look at my post everybody. it really does mean allot to me. ;) |

Doggone you, Johnny! That's nto fair! I was just trying to convince myself that I didn't really miss the road. :'( It really gets in your blood. Much as I love being home again, I don't know how long I can take it.

Jonny,
I know there are some poor drivers out there driving big rigs, but they are by far much fewer than the normal population of drivers. Most professional drivers are just that, professional. THere are a few that get through the process that should not, in fact our former governor is serving time for drivers bribing licensing agents, but for the most part they get weeded out quickly. Take a look at the sides of cabs for some of the bigger companies and you will often find they reward drivers by putting their names and the safe driving miles they have accomplished. It is not unusual to see 1, 2, 3, or as many as 5 million safe driving miles. THat is professionalism. 90% of the accidents involving a big truck was attributable to actions by a four wheeler that often caused the accident, but was not involved and left the scene. Jerry BTW, if you ate it, wore it, used it, drove it, unless you grew it, it was brought to you by a truck. :) |
