Jonny, if you get the time, watch the original Zeitgeist parts 1-13 also.  They talk about religion, 911, etc.

Stuff is good, gotta watch with an open mind though.

Mel...I got to #7

I think I want to move to Mars, or Venus.  I don't know yet what I should  think about Ickes  theorys.   I do know that everything I've seen so far is scary beyond words and yeah, one has to have an open mind.  Our politicians, economists, world governments all in it for the almighty buck and not giving a damn about any of us...just plain scary.

edited to add:   Charlie, just be glad you can't view  any of this.  We don't want your blood pressure to go over the top.  We need you around here.  ;)

Have seen a couple of segments.  Most of it makes sense.  Just don't know if it will really do anygood.  Think I'll quit writing my book now though..... >:(

Watched the whole thing.  It DOES make sense.  And as Linda said, it's scary at the same time.

The Venus Project brings to mind the type of Global Society that is alluded to in the original Star Trek series.  The breaking down of individual governments into a fully sustainable global community where technology was allowed to florish.  United Earth I think it was called.

I have both of them on the list, as well as Indeed.com, Monster, and careerbuilder.

I also check Craigslist and job.com 2-3 times a week but not every day.

ETA: Opps I also check job center of wi daily as well.  I knew there was one more.

While you are looking, it is feasible in Wisconsin to go to the Board of Education and put in for a substitute teacher position? I know a couple here that did that and worked when they wanted and were free to go to interviews.

I just wanted to add something to my opinion of the movie.

I think the whole "venus project" is a nice thought, but not what I, or my family, is looking for personally.  It reminds me too much of the movie "LOST", lol.  But the information leading up to it is supposedly 98% true, and that is what hit me so hard.

Makes you wonder what is right or wrong about it all?  Makes you think.  That is what I found so interesting about it.

Isn't it true that time will tell?

~mel

BTW, I am going to start reading an online book called "The Ethics of Liberty" which was suggested on a different website.  If anyone is interested, here is the link: START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE
