Title: Anyone Have Experience with Memory Foam Matresses?

Does anyone own a memory foam matress topper? I've got a synthetic feather bed on my bed that has seen better days, and was wondering if anyone has used memory foam, and how do you like it?

Many swear by it.  My neighbors loved it so much they bought a temperpedic mattress.  Personally, I felt like I was suffocating with it.  I need air all around me in order to sleep, so we bought the microfiber pillowtop mattress ourselves, lol.  (Boscov's had it on sale for $30.00!

No.  I'm probably the last person on earth who sleeps on a waterbed.  Can't beat that ishy-squishy feel, and that heated bag-o'-water on a cold winter's night.  Perhaps I'm just accustomed to it.

I've heard good things about memory foam mattresses, but I've never tried one.

Best,

George

My tempur-pedic is one of the only surviving relics of my consumerist days, and I love it.  Seeing as though I had this mattress when I was married to my ex, you would think my current wife would want it gone, but she loves it too much.  You will know within 2 seconds of laying on it if it is for you... there's just no question about it.  Either you love it or you hate it.  I sleep better in that bed than anywhere else.  Couples love it because you don't wake up eberytime your partner moves.

The only experience I ever had on one.. was in a store that sold them.

Tried it out....and they had to close the store and evict me.  I can't imagine sleeping on anythihng more comfortable....and expensive.

My 2cents means nothing in this case.  lol

I brought all my children one, they have stood the test of time , always feeling firm and soft at the same time - makes no sense I know.

When it is time to change ours we will have one as well, they are worth every penny and as a third of your life is spent in bed get the very best  you can.

I got one, and it remembered my shape.

Then I got fat and I didn't fit anymore.

(Actually, my bride and I have been hooked on Simmons Beautyrest for a long time.)

Our bed is a three toss and turn bed every hour or so. ;D Time for a new one for sure. We had a waterbed years ago but when you have cats that are wave-chasers you tend to wake up in the middle of the night soaked, which meant another night on the couch. :P

Waterhbed girl, here, George! After 35 yrs of marriage, I realize we have prolly spent no more than $300. on our bed......AnD that WAS 6 yrs ago, when the bag finally sprung a leak. We opted to do a channel-style bag that time.
Our bed is like a cocoon. We have a featherbed topper on the bag, so climbing is is like climbing onto a cloud!  I LOVE  the topper......but I still love my bed.......
mY SISTER HAS A TEMPUR-PEDIC. She's got major alignmnet issues and is in constant pain, my bro-in-law just has a rotten back and they LOVE their bed. It is cthe ONLY time  BOTH of them are comfortable!
Guess I'd go sleeping around to find out who has the best bed for you!

the mattress my wife picked out 7 years ago is still like a slab of concrete.  Back to the memory mattress.  If a man is laying on his stomach, and is pitching an upside down tent,  do you now have a permenant divet in your mattress?   ;D

I have the Costco version of the tempurpedic. It's called Novaform and I love it. Lots cheaper than tempurpedic and probably just like it. I have 3 herniated discs, two in the lower back and one in the neck. Before this, I went through 3 mattresses in about 5 years, and I've had this one now for 3 years or so.

Yes, my wife and I have a 2" topper.  We got a great deal from Overstock.com.  The only negative is that you need to buy deeper sheets, but it is totally worth it.

I had a soft side water bed for probably 20 years or so. I LOVED it. We just got rid of it and I hate our new bed. It has the memory topper. My husbnad likes it but my back hasn't felt good for awhile. My son has the whole bed and loves it. I'm strating to consider the dual control bed.
