This has got to be bad. In 10 yrs. I've been here not only have there never been this many political and economics threads....but I am entering into them. End days are a coming for sure. When I start agereeing with Charlie....somebody shoot me. ;D JK Charlie

Linda Dear,

I'm not advocating anything. I just think maybe it's time the PEOPLE wake up and see that desperate times call for desperate measures.

I see the premis of the reasons Arnold laid this on the table.

This was a means of getting the lawmakers to think in terms of their own pockets and how it translates to the pockets of the taxpayers they wanted to raise taxes on.

Brought the whole thing full circle for them. Where can they cut the Cali. pork instead of eaking more money from the taxpayer.

Here in Mass toll takers on the the Mass turnpike make 70K a year......FOR WHAT??????

And they are mostly made up of relatives of pols! >:(

Thats my point. If people who were in charge of helping make the laws were to be truely faced with seeing their 60-70K gross incomes (and thats being gracious for policy makers) reduced to 13.6k gross a year (and facing the increased tax burdons as well)...wouldn't that be a wake up call? I'd hope it would open more than just a FEW eyes.

Reality Check!!! This is the majority. This is 70- 80% of the countries tax paying population. Many eek out an existance on a hella lot less.

So the idea was to bring the whole concept home to them in REAL terms.
