To all Americans:
I don't mean to denigrate clusterheads from outside the USA, but this is to my fellow Americans.
We have been blessed beyond 99% of the rest of the world in the freedoms we have been given by our Constitution and the heritage passed down since the beginning of this country over 225yrs ago. We have been given the priviledge of self determination, and the freedom of speech and assembly to make that possible. I know there are many differences expressed here on this board, and that is a part of the health of our freedom. Some here I agree with heartily on political issues, and some I disagree with as wholeheartedly. That is the blessing we have been given, and I would not change it a whit.
We have the opportunity to share our beliefs and to try to persuade others to our point of view, and if we are honest with ourselves to take a close look at what the other would say and evaluate it. I know I have had my opinions change on a few issues, whereas on others my beliefs have been strengthened by discussing them with those I had disagreed with.
The biggest thing is at the end of it all is: we are all AMERICANS, and we have that bond in common that ties us TOGETHER when the chips are down. At the end of this political season and the rangling and the bickering is all done lets remember that.
