Yeah Dyl and I were watching the news this morning about that.
My voting will be determined by what research I'm doing right now on ALL candidates including 3rd party. However, the state of the economy, and the decisions made all the way up to election day will also be part of the decision as I enter the booth. |

The only research needed to be done on the two main guys, is that they are part of the current problems we have RIGHT NOW and voting for either one of them, means you like where we're headed and big government is a good thing.

NYC National Debt Clock runs out of digits
October 8, 2008 NEW YORK - In a sign of the times, the legendary National Debt Clock in New York City has run out of digits to record the growing debt. The Times Square-area ticker needs two additional digits to track a national debt 100 times larger than the current $10.2 trillion. As a short-term fix the digital dollar sign on the billboard-style clock has been switched to a number one - the "1" in $10 trillion. The Durst Organization says it plans to update the sign next year. The late Manhattan real estate developer Seymour Durst put the sign up in 1989 to call attention to the then-national debt of $2.7 trillion. The clock was turned off during the 1990's when the debt decreased. Seymour Durst died in 1995, and his son Doug Durst now runs the company that maintains the clock. :-? |

I've been trying to figure out why those guys on Wall Street haven't been jumping out of windows like they did back in '29 -- just figured it out -- they didn't have A/C back in '29 -- they could OPEN the damn windows.....
guess they'll have to go up on the roof this time.... My luck - my broker is on the FIRST floor - wouldn't even break his leg... Oh well, there's always a shotgun.... ;) Hugs BD |

I'm not a chocolate fan Linda...can I just drink some wine instead?
I'm pissed off that my tax dollars are being spent to increase the debt that neither I nor my children will ever see a way out of. |

yeah, it might be time to break out the wine. I can't afford the good stuff anymore, how's Gallo sounding to you Pegg? |

That is truly disgusting, Mel!
The closest thing to one of us to get in there is Palin, and thats what this country needs to start! |

If you only look in the two major parties, Jonny, but she doesn't stand for the values "I" hold dear.
So nope...no vote for that ticket. No way. |

I guess you will be throwing your vote away. ;) Like I said, she is the closest we will get to a non-millionaire fuck face that we can get in the big house. Plus, she wont be president.....Obama will......3rd party never will! (as long as we live) ;) |

I'll throw my vote away by supporting a ticket that doesn't support the issues that I hold important. Her non-millionaire status doesn't mean shit if I can't see eye to eye with her or the ticket on the issues. |

No Jonny,
One vote less for either of the major parties. ;) |

Warren Buffett says that the Fed will most likely make money on this thing after a time and that this country has the abiltiy to get around it. Others can't do it without us. He says things will be getting worse for six months at least and things aren't going to recover fully for some time. 2 year recession is what he sees. He also thinks Paulson is doing it right and is glad the the bailout was voted on.
Of course he supports Obama so obviously he is a communist and a traitor. Charlie |

You may not agree with everything Chuck Baldwin stands for, but I just got this in my inbox this morning and I think he makes a pretty good point...

Remember, there are other 3rd party candidates that probably share your views. So DON'T WASTE YOUR VOTE!! ;) |

Don't be too happy with your third parties yet. The election of 1992 and of course 2000 would have had very different outcomes for yours and my party without populist third party candidates. Until we have serious ones, they act only as spoilers and encouraged by big party underdogs. It produced two whipping boys though. Fun.

Unfortunately, for those who can't see beyond their own party, time will be the ultimate teacher. :(

It depends on your perspective. If you believe like I do, and that there really is no fundamental difference between the Donkeys and the Elephants, then the outcome of those elections wouldn't have made much difference. Neither party has the American citizen's interests at heart. They are in the business of spending our money and increasing their power, PERIOD. In my opinion, if you vote for a media-sponsored, special interest backed, self-appointed member of the current aristocracy then YOU are throwing your vote away, because you are in fact doing what they want you to do. When in reality they are supposed to be doing what WE want THEM to do. But millions will swallow the Kool-Aid and head to the polls to perform their programmed response and pull the lever to maintain the status quo whilst the "elected" officials gain more power and influence over the blind-folded public. It really is so crystal clear to see, but one has to open one's own eyes to see the truth. It's a hard pill to swallow, I know. But one that must be taken if we are ever to regain control of our government like the Constitution set out for us. Until we do, get used to being a slave to the machine. What fundamental rights are they going to take away next? How far in the future do you think the thought police are, newsflash they've been around for the last 13 years. It's getting ugly. I glimpsed the underbelly of the beast, it is consuming our solidarity as citizens of a united country at an ever increasing pace while we sit and let it happen. |

Well.....
I've said this before but I pick out a couple of issues to vote for. It may seem simplistic but it's me. Another thing to consider is if you are interested in say gay rights; especially marriage, you have little choice. On that, I still think it's nuts to bring that up just before elections. If you want another pulpit pounder, that's a good way to help get one elected. Charlie |

And if you're concerned about your Medicare (I am) then you'd best check WHO is gonna mess with that. I'm a lot more concerned about that than I am about abortion. Hugs BD |

When is the last time effective FEDERAL legislation has been passed on any of the 20 second sound bit "issues"? By this I mean - healthcare, abortion, gay rights, gun control, social security or medicare.
The real ISSUE is how corrupt and out of touch or government is. |

Not much news there, you know. At least we get a chance to "trow da bums out" now and then. Once in awhile a good one will stick for a few years. For the most part, everybody thinks that their own Congressmen are pretty good though. That's not true with Mayors or city councilmen. Interesting. MOST........ I said.
