and stupid me, I didn't tell him "I love you" right away. :(  We were talking, then I started to babble and then we got cut off (Satellite phone).  I have to remember to fire it right off the bat next time I hear from him.

Hi Mel,

Next time you get to talk with him tell him WE love him too!  give him a big thank you from me.  He'll be home sooner than you will think.  I know it seemed like forever when Rob was gone, but at the same time it went quickly.  (Does that make sense? :-?)  I'm glad it isn't like it was before the surge.  He should get home with no problems.
