I remember someone exploring a possible connection between the two conditions a while ago.....maybe a year or so. Who was it? Did you find one?

Hmmm. Gout is caused by:

Gout (also called metabolic arthritis) is a disease created by a buildup of uric acid. In this condition, monosodium urate or uric acid crystals are deposited on the articular cartilage of joints, tendons and surrounding tissues due to elevated concentrations of uric acid in the bloodstream. This provokes an inflammatory reaction of these tissues.

Never heard of any connection between this and CH. If whoever said something months ago I'd like to hear it so I can tell them they are

Well I can tell you this much about it from personal experience. No Legumes, nothing from the cabbage family, and nothing brewed. So Beer is out of you diet Poncho. No more Peanut Butter and crackers, and say good bye to Coleslaw.
I have know idea about any connection to CH. But it has a definite connection to pain in your joints. Real Pain that does not stop in 1-3 hours either. So be carefull. Unlike CH, they know how to take care of Gout.

Yes of course you can Ueli.

One disorder is treated differently than the other though. And fleas and lice are of two different species. Just like CH and Gout.

However, I remember reading somewhere that blood levels of a specific enzyme (?) tend to be elevated in CH patients. Will try to find a link to that. If so, there could be a connection between the two...even though they can fix gout but not CH.

Erythrocyte choline was what I was thinking about...and never mind, it was a dead end, although it was fascinating reading. :-?
