Title: Got a question...?
Post by Jackie on Oct 26th, 2008 at 4:54pm
Does anyone use Shutterfly?

I can't get the site to come up?  Wondering what's going on.

Thanks,
Jackie

Having problems here also with Shutterfly  :-? Will try again tomorrow.

I think Shutterfly is fixed, sort of. I cannot show the photo itself, just the url  :-? If I click it then the photo comes up. Hmmm. ::) The pic is from our Potluck last Saturday night.

Am I doing something wrong or should I just use Photobucket.

The link works fine, Barry.  I've never used anything but Photobucket and except for a few times of routine maintenance, never had any problem.

Thanks Carolyn. :)

Just to add, before Shutterfly had problems, I could post multiple pics without having to open a link to see them.
Puter dummie here. :D

forget shutterfly. On photobucket you can upload as many photos as you want, and u can brouse and search practically anything there is to see.

I use the Photobucket Pro now (pay $25.00 a year), no popups, no banners and I have unlimited space (wonder why I'd need that, guess it's that over 9000 pic thing  ;D).

I like photobucket.  It's easy to use and they have a set of forums for the users.

Jacks,

I finally got to view pics on shutterfly at the large size today, but they will not link into this site as an image...only as a link to the image.

I would be more pissed, but what do you expect from a free service.....LOL  ;)

That is exactly what it was doing with my pics, so now I am a full time Photo Bucket user.
Jackie, I hope you did not lose any of your photo images.

No, dahlink, it is not stupidity, it is called a "senior" moment ...

Beeyul downloaded a program for me to use too, but every time I get a new or different computer, I loose what he downloaded.  When I can't use the program he downloaded I resort to my old, tried and true method.

PAINT

It is a simple program that is in most Microsoft computers.
I open paint,
open the picture that I want to resize
at the top, click on edit
click on select all
click on resize/skew
then enter in the percentage I want to shrink the photo, both horizontal and vertical
hit enter.
If I don't like what I did, I hit the edit button, then undo, and then try a different set of numbers.

Once I get it to the size I want, I usually hit save as and then add the letter "a" after whatever the title of the image is, and save that, so that I still have the original.  I also know that when I see the letter "a" after a file, I know that I have resized, or somehow modified the original.

Does this help?

Chuck, who is usually rather senile ...

OH JESUS!!!!...Chuck is on the sauce again! :D

I can tell, because every time hes on the sauce he enlarges pictures of his penis with the paint program.

Thats why he knows so much about paint....LOL  ;D :-*

Only people with a bent for nostalgia use that cumbersome, outdated Paint.

If you have more than one picture on  your computer, it is high time that you download IrfanView. Price: $ 0.00
START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE

Aren't you tired of using the scroll bars of paint to see a fraction at the time of your picture from your camera (that are the size of a table cloth)? IrfanView can resize the view to the desktop. Next picture: Paint - work again through the open menue, IrfanView - click on an arrow.

IrfanView opens almost any image format. Besides resizing and cropping, you can also do some simple image correction. Furthermore, it can play lots of video and music types.

Irfan is a good example what a dedicated programmer can do, compared to the shit from Bill's wage slaves.

Download IrfanView now!

LOL!!  Leave it to one of our highly respected geeks to come up with the solution!

Thanks, buddy!

I am now going to download it, because you are right!  Paint is very cumbersome!
