Title: I got caught.
Post by Pixie-elf on Oct 26th, 2008 at 10:33pm
I was over at my cousin's house for dinner, with the rest of my family. Well, I felt a shadow about to go full-blown cluster. So I went into the bathroom.

So after a little while of me sitting in there screaming, it was starting to ease and my Mom had knocked on the door. She had little Jose right behind her. She said he needed to use the bathroom and helped out of there.

Well, afterwards I was in the living room sitting and rocking, not really paying attention to anything... And all of the sudden there he is with a little battery powered fan, aiming it at my face.

"Yumi, this will make you feel better."

The fan didn't really make me feel better, but the fact he thought to do that did a bit. When the cluster was over he climbed in my lap and held me for a while.

He keeps suprising my family and myself. He's known that I go to the doctors a lot, that I take a lot of medicine but he's never really had a physical sign to go by that I was feeling bad. Until now, since my eye swells shut. He's gonna be 4 next month...

That's amazing story. Thank you for sharing it. That simply shows that some children are so much better what comes to handling ch than some adults are. Brilliant! :)

That was so sweet Ü MY granddaughter Olivia is 5 and when I hurt she always shuts off light in my bedroom and closes door and tells all the animals to please be quiet PaPa has a headache and if I can lay down she has to cover me up and always give me a kiss too Ü Terry (alias PaPa) picture of her playing Ü

Olivia with a Holiday Barbie I let her open and play with plus a old Tonka Jeep I won at Goodwill to put both on Ebay to sell and make extra $ but decided she enjoyed playing with them too much to sell Ü

oh gods children are so beutifal. hugs to all of them. my niece is in the hospital right now . she has water on the brain with awful headaches that make her pull her hair. she has them from birth with a shunt and she always does the same thing with me when i am getting hit. she tells everyone to be quiet and tells me i hate those headaches too uncle, but jesus loves us huh!!!!
it warms my heart every time.  she is eleven and severly disabled but has a heart beyond most abled people. right now she is in the hospital on a morphine drip and with holes in her skull to relieve the pressure..

He definately is amazing, we're trying to convince my cousin to have more. My Aunt said last night
"Just get fertility treatments and have us 4 or 5 at once, then you'll be done!"
"...Yes, I'll be done, buried and dead in the ground!"

This has made me feel a lot better about how he'll deal with this when we start babysitting on a daily basis. I was really worried that this would scare him and his little brother. Instead Marcos just decides to harrass someone else instead of me (usually MY Papa! LOL.) and Jose does what he can to 'help'.

Those headaches are horrible, too. I used to have them, not for the same reason as your niece.. my condition wasn't from birth, but it was from the age of 11-21 (it's considered in 'remission' right now, but at any point it can come back. It's Pseudotumor Cerebri / Idiopathic Benign Intracranial Hypertension) The headache feels like something is squeezing your whole brain. I wasn't a candidate for a shunt because of my osteoporosis, they couldn't guarantee the bone in my skull would close up, and my spine was too messed up to try the lumbar one. So I spent years getting lumbar punctures weekly.

I'll keep your niece in my thoughts and prayers... Do they have any sort of a game plan for her? Like another shunt or...? Hopefully they'll find something to help her soon...
