My screen view automatically jumps to the bottom of the page.

Very annoying.  Arrrrgh!

I can't figure out how to fix it.

Very Annoying indeed.

If you have notifications set the page will jump down to the newest post in the thread since yu last viewed it. If you have seen the thread in it's entirety before it will jump down to the bottom.

If this is happening with a thread that you don't have notifications set for then it maybe a cookie problem. You could try deleting the cookies for CH.com. Remember doing this will cause you to have to log back in, which means you need to remember your user name and password if you didn't have your browser save it.

You also can try a different browser  to see if the same problem exists in that one.

Yeah. Mine jumps now too. It didn't yesterday. A lot of the print is overlaid or jumbled together. Makes it hard to read or deal with. Our personal info bleeds into over or under the replies.

Mine is doing this again this morning.  Maybe it's something with the ad at the bottom of the screen.  It was the same one that was there yesterday when this was happening.  When it stopped yesterday there was a different ad at the bottom of the screen.  Maybe there's a connection there.

Yes I think it's the ad.  I'm getting that again this morning as well.

Maybe more people will hit the paypal button while they're down there......  ;)

Yesterday when I read this I didn't know what you guys were talking about.   So I log on this am and it's doing it to me now too.

   Are you all still having the same problem today?  If it IS the ad...can DJ  get rid of it?  Jim has no idea of how to help me on this.

Yes, it's the ad.  DJ changed it on the main page so it woiuldn't skip to the bottom but apparently not all pages.  Sorry guys, when DJ gets home he is going to contact Google to see what's up with that particular ad and why it scrolls....good ad, but we all don't need to see it 1,000 times a day, right?  

I know it's annoying, it drove me crazy yesterday until I figured it out (when the ad at the bottom changed).  I wish I could do it from home, but I'm still learning all the foreign language of website scripts!!   :-/

We know there is a problem, just hang in there for us!!

Am I the only one that sees compression and overlaying of sentences and information? Lines are jumbled, a lot of postings and personal stuff gets mixed in or overlaid with other posts.

I have that on my 'puter, too.

It is the line that has the city and state in it.  If it is a long one, it bleeds over to the text of the post.  Sometimes it falls between lines of text, if the text has a blank line in JUST the right spot, but most times, it mashes over/under the text, and I can't read that part.

BTW, I use Mozilla Firefox as a web browser.  What are you using?

I'll have to try IE ... I still have it on my 'puter, but never (almost) use it.  I will see if it does the same, with that browser.

I downloaded Mozilla Firefox a few weeks ago but it screwed up image stuff that I use for ebay and I never got used to it. Wish I could fix it.

Wonder if I should set back the computer to get rid of it. Hmmmm. I tried Mozilla etc. after I got some kind of nasty trojan, I guess. Had to get a geek to dump it.

I'm sticking with my IE for now.

I use Firefox and am not having the same issues as some of you. But I did have to modify my profile info with my town and province as it was running into my sentences.

So now I an from Bracebridge, Canada without the Ontario (province) in my profile.
