Only 26 reply's to an ex-member that was one of our biggest supporters/members/boat rowers/sufferers/and all around good guy who poured his heart and soul into everything he did for a good cause. Played for free at the Mil-Con convention, not to mention all of the other charitable events, and this is the response to him leaving? 26 Goddamn reply's? WTFIGO HERE?

But, there are usually about a 100 responses to these dumb fucking/sickening/hateful/I wanna puke from reading them political posts?

Out of respect for Bill and his need to leave, I didn't post.  I'll miss him, surely, but i try to respect the wishes of my fellow clusterheads.

Same with me. I'll quietly respect his need to leave.

I joined this place and OUCH way back in 1999 and was quite active, but you'll notice that I'm new here according to my post count. I did what Jonny said: I got pissed and bailed out a few years ago. I got over it.

Same here.  I respect Bill and admire him greatly.  I will miss him immensly.  I think his going is a great loss to all of us.  I am just praying that he is alright and that he will return one day.  

I am in contact with him by e-mail.

and yes...Jimmers he was/is a totally good thing that happened to ch.com and all the benefits he has played for.  

I hope all the political threads and the bad things people say to each other because of them will be over next week.  Sheesh..I, personally can't wait.

You see "only 26 posts".  I'm sure there are many messages to Bill that you cannot see.

Whatever way and for whatever reason someone decides to leave is their choice and we need to respect it.

Don't be dumbfounded Jim.  When someone is in a mood like that, the responses aren't going to magically save the day.  I responded, but almost didn't just because I agree with Jonny.  If I was going to leave (I have left for a month here or there) I wouldn't say anything to anybody about it.

Either Brew will come back when he misses us, or he won't.  It's up to him.  He's had a lot to go through.  Grief on top of grief can knock you out.  When I was grieving (over Sandy, over the twins, over Lin, over Richie...) the only way I could describe what Brew is talking about is exactly what he said, toxic.  I tuned out and stayed away from a lot of 'toxic' things at that time and I know what he's talking about.  The political debates can be toxic because they strike at your heart if you are a patriot.  I think Brew is a patriot.  I would do the exact same thing, probably.

Grief takes  a toll and takes a while.  He make be back someday and that would be great, but I don't think a hundred responses to his goodbye thread does anything to change anything.

just catching wind of this myself.  Brew is a good dude.  We need him on our side.  But if he needs to back off, thats up to him.  He'll be OK with or without us.

I have not been on so much for my own reasons, but its not been a bundle of laughs for a while around here, it can drag you down.some topics are to depressing for me at the moment and I only skip through some others, waiting for my own mood as well as others to improve.

It is alway sad to see the good ones go, Brew you will be missed by me, come back soon.
