My husband has used it via my acupuncturist's recommendation. It did NOT agree with him at all. I've done some research on Peruvian maca and possibly grow it (too warm in S. CA), and nothing I've read mentioned side effects. I took twice his dose, and it did nothing to me. He had to discontinue it after a few doses.

I am running low on neurotoxic frogs and my tongue is stuck to my cheek. I am hoping the tadpoles I stocked in the local pond are getting big enough to lick. It's that or eat peruvian roots. :D
