LSD has helped others as well. Where ya at johnny???
good to post it though. LSD isn't the first thing on my list We are starburst we are golden. It is on my list, it's just a matter of how much pain. Definately before any surgical procedure. MAPS.org 8-) the bb |

Very good read! I wish we were back in the 80’s when you could just go down to the park and try it. I have found nothing that will break me out of this crap for 5+ years of chronic daily O2 consumption.

Some clusterheads have reported similar success with seeds containing ergoloids including lysergic acid amide (LSA), a chemical cousin of LSD with less pronounced "psychedelic" effects. These seeds include morning glories, Hawaiian baby woodrose and rivea corymbosa. All of these are grown widely as ornamental plants, so the seeds are legal to sell and to possess.
However, these seeds are not legally sold for human consumption. Most sellers include a winking disclaimer (like the head shops who sell smoking paraphernalia "for tobacco use only"). You can find LSA-containing seeds readily from botanical and "shaman supply" companies on the Internet and on eBay. Large-scale commercial seed companies often treat these seeds with noxious substances to discourage people from eating them. So the word "untreated" in a product description offers reassurance to "gardeners" who buy more seeds than they intend to plant. Of the LSA-containing seeds, rivea corymbosa appears to have the least potential for side effects such as nausea and vomiting. Used ceremonially and medicinally for centuries in Latin America -- the natives called it ololiuhqui or "round thing" -- these seeds are reportedly better when consumed fresh. They appear to undergo a noticeable loss in potency within months of storage. I have read that 5-10 ololiuhqui seeds is a good "starter" dose for interrupting a cluster cycle. At these doses, many users report no noticeable psychoactive effects whatsoever. The seeds, which are about the size of a coriander seed, are typically crushed or ground in a coffee grinder, then soaked in water before consuming. Clusterheads who use this treatment say it is best to abstain from triptans and ergot-derived drugs for a few days before taking ololiuhqui, to maximize the benefit and to reduce the possibility of any undesirable drug interaction. A "full dose" is reportedly 40-50 seeds, but I have read accounts of people taking as many as 100 seeds at a time. At higher doses the chances of side effects and having an "unpleasant experience" increase. The effects of ololiuhqui are reportedly mild, especially at very low doses. Unlike most psychedelics, ololiuhqui has a reputation for being mildly sedating rather than stimulating. "Recreational" users typically report an elevation of mood, brightening of colors, and a sense of tranquility that lasts four to six hours. Clusterheads who use ololiuhqui as a treatment have reported pain-free remissions lasting anywhere from several days to several weeks. Dr. Andrew Sewell at Yale hopes to soon begin research into the use of LSA-containing seeds for the treatment of clusters. I will be interested to see what knowledge further scientific study yields. However, since these seeds are so cheap and are legal to possess, I have been thinking about testing them myself. From everything I have read, I don't think they'll hurt anything, and they just might help. Anyone here have any experience? |

hello, im Bill from Cleveland. i am a eposodic suffer every 2 years as the time zone changes i get blasted again. They start at night every 3rd or 4th night i get a kip6 that as the weeks pass turn right into kip 8-9. Then they tend to progress into daytime hits makeing my life almost a living hell for 2 mobths. after my last cycle would not let me go, i started looking into anything that would help. i was still in the mist of a long cycle when i learned about RC seeds. after nervously prepareing 25 seeds i drank the tea and found no effects at all other than the persistent shadows were gone. that night i slept like a baby for the 1st time in months, and when i woke up the ch was gone. about 8 weeks later i got a solo hit and quickly did another 25 seeds to stop any chance of do over by the beast. i can say beyond all doubt the seeds ended my cycle, and as i do a every 2 month dose the solo hits have not returned at all. If this treatment fails me as so many have done in the past it is fair to say i will try other clusterbusters methods before the convental meds. thanks for reading. Coach bill

Me too. But don't tell anybody I said so. I'm trying to keep up the pretense of being "objective" and "neutral" here.

I have had a couple of "solo" hits recently but when I take my old standby rhodiola, a type of ginseng, they stayed solo. Perhaps rhodiola, dug from Mother Earth, has some of the same properties as seeds. (There is a detailed report on rhodiola in Wikipedia.) Maybe this is just a quiet period for me --but I won't be afraid to post personal details as they come to light...

right here buddy. yeah it definatly works. whemyour under the influance so to speak it'cs like/your bullitproof. it's awsome feeling to know that for at least 14 hours your not going to get hit. last time i did it i opened up the console and spun some old lps and hung out with my son. it was a far site cheaper than dicking around with doctors and meds, and allot more fun ;) |

Is this leading to something beneficial or is it tripping to the oldies? I have done a lot of window pane in my day and I just wonder if you are getting any extended time of relief from it or just 14 hours of fun? Rolo… |

when i dosed that time i was getting some real screamers. i was getting hit hard and frequently. i was to the point were my sanity was slipping away. the following day i got hit with 3 kip9s lasting 45 minutes in duration with about 20 minutes of relief in between. the remainder of that day i had a steady kip2. the days after the intensity and frequency tapered off. after 10 days i was getting a few good migraines. after 14 days i was back to normal. i took the acid because i was in extreme pain and i was very desperate. tripping to the oldies was just a bonus. |

A cousin of LSD from what my hubby says - Ergot - the mold from grains that sent many a "witch" to the gallows in the 16th century when people ate molded breads and got high and accussed townspeople of witchcraft - has been modified and is being used in the form of ergotamine and dihydroergotamine. No cure but lots of relief.

Title: Re: "LSD Cured My Headache" (London Independent) Post by Redd on Jan 6th, 2009 at 9:45pm
As far as the Witch Trials...
There was ergot in the grain to make the bread. It was a microscopic fungus between the hull and the meaty grain. Mushrooms are also a fungus. The RC and Hawiian Baby Wood rose seeds as well as some strains of Morning Glory seeds also have that ergot fungus between the hull and the meaty part of the seed. All the forms of these ergot alcholoids (if my memory serves me correctly) is that the active molecules are indol-rings that are effective and attach to the same seritonin reseptors in the brain that such triptan medications such as Imitrex attach to to ease our pain. If I'm wrong someone will come along to correct me. PinkFloyd? Do I have my information correct? ;) |

I'm a little complicated; I was diagnosed severely ADD and (probably as a result) depressed and anxious many years back, but the doc just wanted to treat the anxiety with zoloft since I wasn't in school...
Now I've gone back to school, my new doc put me on meds for the ADD, and- WHADDAYAKNOW- the anxiety has gone away!! We were in the process of getting rid of the zoloft when I got the CH diagnosis this fall, so I was still on 50mg a day when I first tried mushrooms...nothing happened. So then I detoxed for 2 weeks, tried mushies again- had a GREAT experience-and was PF for 2 weeks...after that, I tried RC seeds 2 more times, and it was after the seeds that I got depressed for a day; but they did cut the pain, too. It's funny, but the only time in my life that I remember not having migraines was the few years in college many moons ago when I was doing mushies about once a year (before I ever got on zoloft.) The have ALWAYS been a wonderful experience; I have great energy, clarity of thought, freedom from anxiety and balance of mood for a long time aftarwards. There's my two cents! God bless CB! ;) |

I'll have to disagree with this statement based entirely on sheer volume of the amount of ergot tainted grain it would take to bake a singe loaf of bread. The villagers of the period all harvested their grains frome fields within the same vascinity. Whatever weather conditions occured to have this happen to the grain supply would have happened to all grain. Not just those of certain households. The amount of ergot that would be found in say...3-4 shafts of sleepy grass isn't a whole lot to be sure. But it takes a hell of alot more than 4 shafts of wheat or rye to make a loaf of bread. Everyone would have been tripping to some level dependant on the amount of bread consumed. There is more to the history of the times as well that would factor in, but It's too late to get into the discussion right now. I'm off to bed. |

oh, gosh-darnit- I read a fantastic article a couple of years ago about a group of scientists who figured out exactly how the whole ergot-rye-bread-witches-thing happened...lots of scientific evidence...can't remember now, but I was completely convinced. Maybe I can find it online. :-?
