November 1st at 6:45am, I lost my best friend. His name was Zachary Fox Alexander. He was 17 years old and my very best friend. He died in Davison, Michigan in a hospital bed. A few weeks before he had been in a car accident and hurt badly. They thought he was getting better but they missed something the test didn't show. I got word last night from his good friend that my Zach was gone. After crying my eyes out and getting my self under control I wrote this poem for him to say goodbye. As I write this my eyes are yet again tearing up so I'll keep it short and sweet. Please pray/send vibes/or what ever it is that you do for his family and friends. He left a huge amount of people behind him and touched hundreds of lives. Please give me strength to help them through this. Thank you.

Thank you all for the prayers and vibes. Today was hard at school for all of our friends. Hardest of all for me was being the one to tell every one because I was the first person in NY to know. Every one will miss him greatly and this is going to be a very long week. Just wanted to say thank you again for all your care and concern. It means a lot to me and his family and our friends.

Sometimes we don't have people in our lives for long enough, it sounds like Zach was a friend like that and I'm sorry he's gone. I'm so very, very glad you had him though, even if only for a short while. You may not have had long but you had good and given the choice - that's what I'd pick everytime
