The placement of that fire hydrant right in front, tickles me for some reason. Like just in case that beautiful catches on fire. LOL

It is quite a distance, but to me it looks like a maple tree. Not sure the type. Possibly a sugar maple, but I could be wrong. Too far away, and I can't see the exact shape of the leaves, nor the bark, on the tree trunk. Chuck |

As a kid in the early 1950's I grew up in CT, but that was a long time ago. My brain said maple when I saw it, but who knows where that came from! ;D
Let's just say that we didn't have trees that looked like that at the beach in CA. |

Chuck,
I'll back you. I believe that it is indeed a Maple tree. In fact, I have heard them referred to as Sunset Maples. We have a lot of them around here. They have been beautiful this year! Jeannie |

awwhell I dunno what kind it is!!!
I just call it The Tree and watch it change each fall. Its out the back door of our stockroom and its a nice "break" when I get stressed at work :) On the far side of that tree, and the pines behind it, is a lake that I've sneaked away from work and gone fishing at. (not to worry, it was the boss's idea! lol) |

Take a close-up picture of one of the leaves, and then the bark, and let's see what it is ... Chuck |

ohforpetesake, they are maple trees!! lol
I think Jen's is a Sugar Maple and Jonny's is a Norway Maple. You ever look at the word maple? What a weird word, it's just spelled funky. :-/ |
