Do you mean protection FOR a 12 month old or for you FROM a 12 month old?!! The latter makes PERFECT sense to me! ;D

Have you seen the bibs they sell?  They're not BIG enough!  LOL

Ava gets it in the usual places plus in her hair and on her legs.  Seems those sections of her body are hungry too. ::)

I agree with Helen!  Go to a craft store and buy a paint smock.  Works great!

When I had my nursery school, the kids brought an older sister or brothers old shirt in to paint in.  This should also work for food frenzies.  :D

If you find one for a 12 mo old ask if they have one in a  5 year old boys size too....

Melissa,

While you are looking for this perfect cover up, would you keep your eyes open for an adult size one to protect me from my 5 year olds????  ;)When I first started teaching art I was given the best smock, arms and all and I still use it but it's badly stained and worn out. I can't find any like it. The Crayola Tidy Top looks perfect for me but not quite my size. One of my parents sent in a bunch of kids hospital gowns for my younger students. That has been a great cover up too for little ones.

I almost forgot Potter, we did the diaper in the high chair on the porch routine with Lisa. It was spring and warm enough so it worked well. And another great addition is a dog who loyally sits at the bottom of the high chair waiting. Many kids have their first bond witht heir pups over a high chair! No need for dustbusters!

The easiest solution is to throw the lil double fisted cookie crumbler directly into the washing machine.  It works best if you have one of those front loading washing machines, so that he gets a moment or two with his head out of the water for a quick breath ... and those have automatic door locks on them so the lil bugger doesn't try to get out before he is fully cleaned!
