Title: last night Post by chris420 on Nov 17th, 2008 at 12:08pm
I dont know how many of yall watch football, but last night, but last night was depressing. The Skins just couldnt pull it off. But I guess thats how it is when the Skins are doing great, they loose to the cowgirls, but when theyve got a loosing record theyll beat the cowgirls. It was a good game, I guess. Now we have a 6-4 record and the cowgirls the same. We are tied with them. It will suck if they are in the playoffs with us. Damn it!
On to a more serioun note, I think this cycle is in remission. I got up this morning and no HA. Went to bed at 12 am and slept until 10:30. It is the first time in months that Ive slept that long. Ive been hanging out at home wondering when ill get hit and it hasnt happened, yet. I hope this is a sign that im done with the beast this time around. I WON! The beast didnt get me. I survived another bout with the beast. Kelsey will be happy, we can turn the heat on. My house stays around 60 when Im in a cycle, the heat will trigger a HA. Also when I woke up, I felt better than I have since Sept. I cant really describe how Im feeling, I just feel like I dont suffer. I feel "normal". As I get older Im finding the cycles are a little bit shorter each time. Does this mean as I get older Ill eventually "grow out of them"? God I hope so. I pray to you enough. The help and support that Ive recived has been wonderful and very informative. Ive learned alot of stuff I didnt know about this disorder. Ive also found that Im not alone, or crazy. I really want to thank Chuck for being my 2nd member on my support team. Kelsey is #1. I hope Im not jumping the gun here. Ahhhhhh, this would be so good, Id be able to return to school for the spring semester, get a job and be normal. Thank you to everybody that has helped me. chris |

Chris, first of, I really pray you are going into remission. If so, enjoy every precious moment of it.
Stay armed for the next battle. Get that o2 and keep it handy. Talk to your doc regarding what prevents might work for you. I keep my o2 and Verapamil full and ready. Be armed and ready, just in case. ;) I am in full cycle and am doing everyday stuff. With the right "cocktail" life continues on, but I always have my o2 within sight at all times, or when that is not available to do, I have an Imitrex Injection Kit with me 24/7. Keep us up to speed on how you are doing and say hi to Kelsey for us. PF wishes, Barry 8-) |

I grew out of mine in 1991 when I was 45. The evidence is iffy that age is a factor but it has to be. Still, 45 is early for that. Something else may have happened in this rapidly deteriorating frame :o Charlie |

is imitrex the only triptan that works? or is it because its a shot it works faster? I see my doc Dec. 8th, ill ask him to Rx imitrex and ill ask about verapamil. i was on it years ago, it didny work. I think the reason it didnt work is the fact i wasnt on a high enough dose. As ive learned here on the site, i have been Rx the lowest dose humanly possible. like O2, they give me 5/lpm with the nose thing, not the recomended 18/lpm w/ a non-rebreather. Ive picked up alot of info from yall and i thank you. ive got alot of questions for my doc and some sugesstions to throw his way. im gonna beat the beast ass. im gonna kick the shit out of him. its my life and i need to take it back, not let it be controlled. thats what the beast does, control my life. every seconed of every day. not anymore, not the next time. im gonna be armed and ready.

Chris,
That doc sounds like a idiot for that low of a flow rate. Many here will recommend you print out the pertinent O2 info to have in hand when you go to see the doc so as to maybe educate the doc on the spot. I would fax the info to his office and demand (in a nice way) that he/she upgrade you to first class. Roland. ;) |

the docs with the O2 are the ER docs. i know they dont know jack shit.
And yhe doc with the verapamil was too busy pumping me with painkillers. i dont think ive had an educated doc yet. thats why im ready to write them all off. ive basicaly dealt with this over half my life. i feel as if i know more than the docs. i want to go to med school so maybe i could help raise awareness to our medical problem. i just wish there was a way to "put it on the map", make society aware. if someone tells you they have cancer you know that it is serious, someone gets migraines everyone knows lie down in a quiet, dark room. us, i suffer from cluster HA, people say take an asprin. people just dont know and its not their fault, its just not a "hot topic". i want to change that, just dont know how. |

No shit, if we had a Michel J Fox or Christopher Reeve to beat our drum.
I was thinking that we all should pitch in and hire our own CH lobbyist to tout our cause. Maybe just a public service message to educate the general public of our blight would help along with some ADA support. Chris, be careful with that imitrex because it can if overused cause rebounds. If you have the tanks, you can probably get a cheep welding regulator for increased flow and I thought Linda sent you a non rebreather mask. PFW’s Roland. |

i have not recived lindas package yet. ive been home 80% of the time. unless my downstairs neighbors picked it up and never told me. i wouldnt put it past them. they are all L-O-S-E-R-S. remember, theyve got 9 people living in a 3 bedroom. just so they can afford rent. none of them really work. they are all home 70% of the month. if it got here, ill never know. they stole the $1200 system from my truck. they come in my house when im not home. iknow this because some of my meds have gone MIA. i know they are theives, but i cant prove shit. sucks.s

Chris, if you have a cheep USB camera and download a free program of which there are several available at ZD net or Jumbo.com, you may catch them and have proof on the HD to jack the little bastard up! No one should be in your personal space unless the tub is running over of course.
I, as the rest of us here want you to get the O2 you need and make a success story out of you. The improvement it will make for you when you have and use it properly will make a world of difference in how you feel and your ability to cope with the disparity of CH. Roland. ;) |

Indeed... :-? I mailed the package with the tubing and a proper mask on the 12th. Edited to add, that taking someone's mail is a FEDERAL offence. |
Title: Re: last night Post by Linda_Howell on Nov 19th, 2008 at 10:28pm
Please let me know if it gets to you. Or if your room-mates are arrested for tampering. Which ever comes first. :(

It was just regular mail. There was certainly nothing in there that could be of interest to anyone besides you. No drugs or anything that could be sold for money.
*note to self" send all my future packages by registered mail. sheesh |
