After reading Linda's post regarding her move and the need to sell her beloved car, it seems there are many car enthusiasts on this forum.

Please post pictures or stories of your past, present, or future hobby cars.

Someone be brave and please get this thread started...it could be fun!

I thought the title of the thread was "Cat Lovers Out There?" ROFLMAO.

Oh well - as long as I'm here......

Gary's first car was a 1974 Trans Am. It was the only year Pontiac had a Chevy engine in it. It was a 454 super duty. The car itself was pretty much wrecked - burnt to hell. I don't know what happened, but that car (the car itself, not the make/model) was the pacer at the Indy 500. It was burnt completely out inside and needed a lot of work, but Gary completely fixed it up. He found banana yellow paint cheap, and that thing GLOWED. ;D Damn but it was hard not to constantly get pulled over in it. ::)

I miss that car.

Here is Blake's Shelby Mustang....he sure wishes he still had.
The bottom is a drag car (full body Beretta) my brother and I raced on the NHRA circuit a few years ago.

You have to post them on a host server and paste the link between (img) and (/img) (Brackets where you see the ()..) to have them display.

Do a quote on a post with a pic and you will see what I mean. ;)

Had a 1977 280Z (white, gold trim) my second car ever. FUN car...speedometer went to 160...Remember going down the highway thinking..this car sure is smooth at 55mph...looked down and was at 100! No shimmy, no shake, no problem...always had to be careful...it was sooooo easy... I miss the manual shift.

Unfortunately, it was like sitting in a bathtub with my legs out straight...at 6'3" with a bad back, I could barely get out...had to sell. Hope you get yours goin once the house is settled...

But mine did not look as good with some cancer from the salt.. :)

The 350 with HR intake and 4bl made it move like lightening! 8-)

No 318 or 302 could touch it..A 383 charger did put me in my place one time and I laughed as a AMX (blew by without strain) and made quick order of me! ;D

And the RTS made it handle, I had it going 135 mph one night! GOD the memories!!!

My first baby: 1959 Chevy Impala Convertible. Mine was white, with red accents, and a red and white interior.

A couple cars later, I started my long term love affair with British Sports Cars. My first was a 1969 MG Midget, bright yellow, with black interior and top. (By today’s pricing, my reasoning for buying this car sounds silly. But I had a 69 Ford Thunderbird, with a HUGE 400 something engine. I bought the MG, because it costs too much to fill up the T-bird with gas. It cost me a whole NINE dollars!)

Obviously, as a man that grew up in the 50’s and 60’s, and is now approaching 60, I had MANY cars. Several were memorable, but SO many were just transportation. This, for me, was the ultimate driving machine. It lived up to every expectation I had of a street-legal super car. I put 126,000 miles on it and sold it to a guy in Dallas. I was happy to drive it to him to drop it off (Pismo Beach, California to Dallas, Tx), then I took a train trip home.

If ya talking about mine Barry......it's "Chesterfield Brown". When I ordered it I hadn't even seen the color except in pictures. I just knew I didn't want the colors the local dealer stocked. Black, white and red. Everyone wanted those 3 colors. I wanted something different. It was the first brown one they had sold.....and it figures.....they started ordering brown for stock after mine came in. ::)

Planning on it.....I never drive it, it's in storage that costs $100 / month...I'd rather sell it to someone that will enjoy it. It's in good shape and would make someone a nice collector car.

Always been a Landrover fan myself, Series 2A in bits and pieces at the moment, Defender 110 sitting in my yard slowly going green under the trees and daily driver is a modified Discovery....
As for dream cars, a 1948 Series 1, Aston Martin Vanquish and as a fan of a certain 70,s cop show, 1976 Ford Gran Torino in Candy Apple Red with White stripe ;D

I'll be putting it to daily driving condition very soon. It only needs new tires (Pirelli P-0) to pass an inspection. And of course a new battery. 4 new sets of wheel bearings wouldn't hurt either. It's also really hard to put a toddler into a car seat in one of these!

Soo, the 76 was our first Vette. It's all original......and it is a garage sculpture! Horrinble drive, firewall at my feet..but it moves!!!

This one, an 04 Anniversary edition is wonderful to drive, comfie on long runs...and, it moves!!
