My blood pressure is high. I just could not believe it, so I started keeping up with it. I check it and its way up. I feel ok ...so I take Buddys pressure and it came up higher than mine 212 over 100 . I said Good God Buddy. Now will you go to the doctor. (He is scared of Doctors) He said oh it is because I just smoked and I just took out the trash. I said Yea Right! So we go in off the porch and sit and watch the TV. I wait a hour and take his blood pressure again. I call Deveny (our daughter) to read it. She shakes her head Takes the Monitor off, turns his hand over and puts it on the under part of the wrist ......she said "it would help if you did it right". OOOPS ! Our blood pressure was normal done the right way. Poor Buddy looked up at me and said " I am so glad you figured that out, I was starting to have chest pains". We were laughing so hard at him.. bless his heart. I had him scared. What would we do without Deveny?

Lady E.. you are hysterical!! Of course it made me smile, you always have a great story.. but, I can't believe Buddy said that---Chest pains.. ROTF!!

So glad you guys are ok, I worry when I hear you say doctor...what's Deveny gonna do with you two? :) Just a few more things to be thankful for.. GRACIAS!

Elaine,

There is a condition called White Coat Hypertension where your blood pressure at home may be within normal limits but when the patient is in the presence of the physician, anxiety/stress can cause the pressure to be elevated.
