Cup Series Banquet is tonight @ 9:00 PM, ESPN Classic.

Craftsman Truck Series Banquet is Monday night @ 8:00, SPEED.

At least we can get a bit of a racing fix to help us thru the off season. ;)

And how about this news? Petty Enterprises may merge with Gillette Evernham.

With Ray selling out most of his holdings in the team, it's prolly gonna happen.

He's now the proud owner of a dirt short track in NC.....going back to his Saturday night short track roots. Gotta be more fun and less headaches....

The banquet was good but there was a female announcer whose voice was irritating as all heck. John and I took turns hitting the mute button on the remote every time she started to speak.

Cale Yarborough made a surprise appearance to present Jimmy Johnson's trophy and Richard Petty made a cool and interesting speech about the 60 years of NASCAR. I swear, every time I see Petty, he has more and more feathers on his hat. There must be a pretty naked ticked off bird walking around somewhere. ;D
