Pretty hard to tell. Could be the breakwater in the background which would place it at the north end of the bay.

I can see why you would really want to get out and ride your bike to see all of this, very cool pics! 8-)

Ambiguity is good! With any kind of a landmark, you guys get it every time.

Unfortunately for me, much of what I shot was for tourist consumption so it includes obvious landmarks.

It’s half way between where Bob and Shawn guessed. Shot from launching ramp parking lot at Tidelands Park, South end of the Embarcadero - looking northwest. The Sand spit is the horizon.

Redd, for a mere $2.6 million you can indeed have that view from the bluff behind me in that that shot. That's why I moved, it's flat out beautiful, but costs are only in reach of guys like Bob and Shawn ;)

I sincerely thank everyone for their nice comments. Making interesting images is a passion for me.

The sand spit is just a long hill of sand... bay on one side, ocean on the other. This one extends from Montana de Oro State Park (freaking beautiful place) to Morro Rock. It's miles long (better than 5 miles from where it connects to land).
