I guess some of you might've heard about this case, in which a Dutchman was involved. There are still a lot of mysteries concerning this girl's disappearance.

Been following this story also.................i do believe the investigation was "flawed", probably due to political doings..........................something happened that night, but will her poor parents ever find out?

There was another story on this that someone, I believe a newspaper reporter, had gotten a some-what confession out of the kid, but never heard anymore about.

And our children wonder why we, as parents, always worry..........no matter the age

Aruba should be ashamed!!! I strongly support a full Boycott of this horrid place.

In defense of the islands in the Carribean (and they're mostly the same), they are for the most part safe, but people who visit them NEED to use a little caution (as with anywhere). Picking up strangers and going off with them is NOT the thing to do.

It's ok to party in a public place, but you don't go out of the public place with anyone you don't know (or anyone not with your group).

Being the old mother hen I am, I've watched "little" girls get drunk on a "spree" away from home and "sweet talking" guys on the make. I have gotten into a couple or three of those little encounters a few times when I knew the little girl didn't have any business with the lover boy.

I feel really bad for the parents and yes, I think there was some politics about the boys (and a few payoffs - that happens in Aruba). And no, I don't think they'll ever find Natalee - it's been too long.

I have a friend who's kid is going to Jamacia for a school trip after we had a talk she decided that she  needed to be a chaperone on that trip. If it were my kid I know I would be chaperoning. But as I said, I've spent a lot of time in foreign countries........

I recently heard that young man got caught trying to sell a few Japanese teenagers into slavery.  I think they should check into that, Natalee was probably sold into white slavery in Thailand...

Fish food in the undertow. I suspect she aspirated on the beach and Urine (the proper spelling of his label) did nothing and let her die. Then daddy helped distract and confuse the police and courts.

He has slipped up in almost every interview he’s done so far, and his two amigo cohorts are also highly culpable.

Injustices like this botched investigation are why I so prefer rough rope justice…

Our government should put the foot down so these tourist nations / islands would be forced to extradite the worthless scum that they refuse to prosecute to the homeland of the victim or loose American passports as their main source of income… :-X

If you want answers, just tie Joran to chair and let Beth or Dave Holloway have him for awhile.

As a Dutchman, I can promise you that we are collectively ashamed of a Joran van der Sloot. This is not a person we wish to be associated with, nor with his family whom seem to play a part in a large cover up.

It seems that he was part of a `human smuggle` scenario involving Thay girls, and I really hope he will be trialed for that as well, allthough I personally feel the Holloway case should be closed first foremost. Why you asked, well he is a chronic liar so maybe he all invented the human smuggle thing just to make a fast buck. I see him capable of it.
Close the Holloway case and you have someone imprisoned who is not to be a part of society. Pff, do I make any sense....
