Is it just me, or are there now ads in between a lot of posts,  instead of just at the bottom?

Yes there are, and it makes me think I'm at the bottom of a page.

There are, yes.

I still have that thing where the page automatically scrolls up to the top of the page when i am reading posts.  Someone brought it up a few weeks ago, I havent heard anything since.

Yea, I noticed them right away,

I don’t mind the advertisements, it’s just that I’m an old school boy that thinks birth control and feminine products belong in women’s day magazine and not in the main stream media. That goes for ED products as well…

I think it's great. DJ is getting ads from a lot of new advertisers - they're finding out we're here and "catering" to US. This means we're being noticed! Today feminine products - tomorrow the WORLD!! :)

I think if I was to see "Bob" (from those commercials) on this site, I would have to leave ... What a freeking JERK!  I can't stand to see any of those commercials!

I must be the only person that doesn't see ads - EVER.

I use the Mozilla Firefox browser with the Adblock extension and I don't see one measly ad.  Nothing on top, bottom, in between or popping up.  Nada.

Except the Paypal button which we all need to push a little so DJ doesn't have to accept all ads that come his way.

Since I'm a supporter rather than a sufferer, I don't click on those links so my comment remains true . . . . ;)

Maybe the ads are based on your specific needs.  All I am seeing are ads for glamourshots.com , howtobecomeamodel.com , mensa.com , and rippedbodmagazine.com

As for the scrolling back up, are you all using firefox?  I have the same issue but this site is not the only one.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing them then.  I also get the scrolling up after a few seconds too.

What is really frustrating is that ever since DJ  changed our status from Global Moderator to Moderator to make it a less weighty title...I feel like I am on dial-up here.  Every single post or thread I click on takes for ever to open or opens with a page cannot be displayed.

It doesn't happen anywhere but on this site.   Oh well...I'll learn to live with it.   :(

I am having the same problems, Linda!  I thought it was my computer @ first, but it is only happening on this site!  Yes, it absolutely feels like I am on dial-up!!!

I get that "dial-up-scare" once in awhile here on this site too. but after a short time, anywhere from a couple of minutes to an hour long it is back up to high speed. :o

It's the aliens man!!!!! :D :D :D

this is a test... I wonder if I list: Birth control, Condoms, Toothpaste, More birth control, IUD, Kosher salt. Bicycles Vacation. Flat screen. Shrek Disneyland

Let's see what shows up next... it seems that with adsense... the bloggers call upon a subject specific ad... then the owner of the website gets paid just for the ad being displayed or per click.

either way it's pretty cool... DJ and Steph will make cash on ads generated by what we talk about. The beauty part is we don't even have to click on the ad.

So all you lurkers... come out of the wood work and pick a subject... any subject and post to your hearts content... the more you post then visit the subject... the more DJ and Steph will make.

..and that's a good thing

Modified to add: Diamonds, Real Estate, Porsche, Jewelry, Gasoline
(throw random products into all of your posts)  ;D

with warm regards,
Tony
