My eldest daughter Sarah is only 7 miles away and couldn't make it to dinner :(  We saw a subaru with a tree on top almost over the edge in to a ravine.  It's really icy and we "don't know nuthin bout no snow".  I still have a humming bird and we are switching feeders out because it keeps icing over.

Thanks Barry.  So far we are doing ok.  I did get food before the storm.  But, it is going to stay frozen for a week.  

I'm running out of cigs.  I may have to fire up the car and make a trek to the store to get some and get some more food.  The store is a good hundred yards away, so it will be a treacherous drive for the vital supplies.  

We are going to pack supplies for the trip tonight and head out tomorrow.  We'll pack food for a couple days and a transistor radio just in case we run off the road and are not found for days.  

Keep us in your thoughts.

I hope you all know that none of us on the West coast are denegrating ANY of what you w/o power and heat are truly going through in the frozen tundra of Canada, Wi. So. Dakota, No. Dakota and other states that really are in trouble.

Is Portand anything like Seattle when it comes to snow?  When we visited out there I always assumed that they got tons of snow and life went on.  But it was explained to me that they got barely any snow and the roads were not built to withstand the slipperyness of the wet stuff and they had no plows and if it snowed at all everything shut down big time.  If so I feel for you big time.

We are suppose to get 4-6 inches tomorrow from noon to midnight.  This is on top of the 10 inches we got last monday.  It is suppose to snow off and on all week here.  I hope you stay dry.

They sent out the " Big Ass Grader" with a wing blade on it to cut back the snowbanks on the main road today. Wouldn't want to raise the wing blade as he approached my driveway. >:(
