I was just watching the Weather Channel and it looks like most of the USA is covered with snow. Where it is not covered now it will be tomorrow.
It's been snowing here for about 4 hours and there's about 2 inches on the top of my car and still snowing. Holy crap! We're in the middle of the desert and it's 38 degrees outside.

P.S.  I hate friggin' snow and cold.

What the hell, Bob.  Snow was invented in Vegas.   :)  

The well paid fortune tellers weather-people are forecasting 12 to 14+ inches for us tomorrow through Saturday.

How can they determine that when the storm center is still in Southern California?

Just sleet and rain in the 10 day forecast for this area....bummer.  Would much rather have snow. :(

By Dec 29 it will be clear. We got about 4-5 inches at my house but the sun is coming thru and the melting has started.

No snow on Long Island, a little dusting Tuesday night, but if I believe the "Weather-people", we're supposed to get some tomorrow and possibly Christmas Eve.......................hopefully not too much for I need to travel up-island on the Eve, and people need to travel down-island to my house on Christmas!

Oh, well, doesn't pay to worry, for we have no control over it!

We are suppose to get around 7-11 inches of snow tonight and tomarrow.  My husband came home from work today with tomorrow off due to the weather.  Nice.

Well, it's 18F here, and the wind's finally calmed down.  It was blowing pretty well earlier on, with some drifting snow.

More snow on the way.  We usually don't get so much down here in the valley, but the mountains get a fair bit.

LOTS of snow on the ground this morning.  Just by looking I'd say 8 -10 inches so far and the wind is howling and it's still coming down.

All the area schools are closed and the plows haven't been by yet.

Looks like a hunker-down-chili-in-the-crockpot-kind-of-day!

We've had rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow since midnight.

Wintern storm warning for the area until who knows when   :P

It's a total mess...schools closed, vehicles sliding off the  IN Toll Road and 20 Bypass,  jackknifed semis, fender benders by the dozens,  power outages, etc.

Looks like our Friday night date-nite may not happen..

We got at least 8 inches since it started snowing this morning at 2:30, and it's still coming down like crazy.  I was standing by the window at work watching it come down.  The wind is whipping pretty good at 25mph gusting to 35.  Lots of drifting.  All of the schools are closed and the snow plows can't keep up.  It took me about 40 minutes to get home this morning.  Even with 4 wheel drive I was scared shitless, because I couldn't see.

It's a bit more unusual here in central WI.  We arn't getting dumped like to the north and south of us as usual. :-/  Anyway, here are the current conditions (it's currently 18 degrees, warming up, yes!)...

Well it’s a heat wave here hitting 20 today. I have the wife’s van in the garage with the heat on to melt it off so I can pull the gas tank and replace the fuel pump in the tank. I am not looking forward to lying under it on the concrete but a mans gota do what a mans gota do… Potter quit your B-ing ha ha ha… you got to love winter to put up with it…NOT!! ::)

Dam, I have had the van in the garage all day and it is still too cold on the ground of the garage to get two of the line couplings off. The tank is plastic so I don’t want to incure the price of a tank due to exuberance… The Reznor is only 30K BTU, plenty for normal stuff but inadequate to heat the floor in my 24X25X 10’ ceiling garage. F’n winter, AARRGGGGG…

Well we got over a foot of snow last night and tomorrow night we are suppose to get 7 more inches of snow with 40 degrees below zero temps with 35mph winds.  Brrrrr.  The whole city shut down yesterday around here.  They will probably keep going with only 4-7 inches.  Maybe the kids will get lucky and they will delay school or call it off.  Plus we are suppose to get snow everyday for the next week.  When am I suppose to get out and do grocery shopping? Makes for a nasty travel time for Christmas but a beautiful white Christmas.

6:45 AM here.  It's cloudy, and the hoarfrost is hanging in the air.  Very still, and a light snow falling.  21 degrees Fahrenheit.

Just went outside.  There are a pair of Great Horned Owls calling to each other somewhere to the north.

We are on day 6 of this 'storm sequence"..upgraded from a simple storm.........they are talking blizzard conditions tonight.
As I have stated, we in Orewgon, cannot drive in this stuff....we haven't had the experience.and we have a LOT of hills as well as bridges.
My husband has had my car all week long, in order to get to work..........I've got cabin fever..........I don't get out of my jammies, unless It's to take a bath and put fresh jammies back on........
We had to cancel a dinner party tonight, and, as I look at the predictions, Wed,"Christmas Eve" could well be another dangerous day to be out......I KNOW we sound like big ole wussies........

That is our weather report.   We have a semi jack- knifed in front of our house....lol.  I-5 had snow all over it!  Suppoesed to get a half an inch of ice all over everything tonight.  We have 12 inches of snow right now.  Thank god we didn't sell the generator.  At least we can have heat, coffee and a light and TV!

A foot and a half of snow last week, I abuse my back shoveling to the point I cant take a step without pain (sciatica) and tomorrow its going to be 60 degrees. If I knew that shit I wouldnt have shoveled.....LOL ;)

44F and rising to 48F overnight! After all the snow we got and the sub-zero temps, it is now mild and raining hard here and lots more on the way. Back to winter tomorrow evening apparently. :o

Barry, I am so sorry your head is hurting! We, too, after all my whining, have begun the great THAW! Now, it's simply wet and sloppy and slippery!!!  We who are unaccustomed to this white stuff would really prefer you keep it where you snow lovers enjoy it! What a PIA!

I never thoughtI'd say this, but it is warm again in Portland..at 47 degrees!

No snow, just lots of rain and wind here.  It did almost reach 70 degrees today.....too bad the rain spoiled it.

I wish it would snow.

As of right now we've lost over a foot of snow on the ground.  That's a REALLY good thing because it was getting to the point I had to lift shovels-ful of snow over my head to put it on the snow banks.  At least now we'll have room for more.

And I backed out our vehicles into the rain today in order to "rinse" off the road salt.  We haven't had a break in the weather to get them washed for weeks!

Life sucks in this climate!

Well, the lovely low front moved through last night.  This morning I had to trudge through 2 ft. drifts in order to get to the wood boiler.  Jesse's beautiful snow blowing job is now invisible. ::)

I love WI, but the weather is nuts. :P

Ahh. Low front on the way here and finally some replacement snow.

We were prepared for it with 35 mph winds this afternoon that wiped out some tv this morning. Rats. I love my Sunday pundits. I've got to tell you this story only because it is so absurd.

I just spent the last 6 days in Los Angeles.  When I got there on Monday every single local channel was putting out major warnings about the huge storm they were having.  

The weather was in the mid-50's and it drizzled a little bit.  THAT was their huge storm.  

When I was visiting in Oakland, 42 years ago, SF tv stations interrupted programs for on the spot reports of a rain storm.  :o

Mel, it went from the plus's with rain and high winds then back to winter here overnight. Just shoveled the driveway with about 10 inches of snow.
It is probably our cold front that is effecting you, sorry about that! [smiley=grin.gif]

My son, Chris, gets to fly back to Spokane today.  They had a record 50" of snow in the month of Decmeber as of last night, with more on the way.  When he was on the phone with Erika (his gf) he asked if she could see his car......she just laughed.  He's been here for the last 10 days.

Chris did remark he could just stay, find a job, sign up for school, and return to Spokane during the summer thaw....I think he was only half kidding.  I'm gonna miss him.  :(
