I'm with you Jimi.
Grew up on western movies and played cowboys and indians outside. (I don't think it is even socially acceptable to do so anymore.)

Lol, Audre and i were just talking about this game. I knew she was into it BIG TIME, my kids play it also, but they are x-box nuts now.   I remember when my brother and I got a pong game for Cristmas, had to be the late 70's, I remember setting it up with the ball "stuck", just going back and forth in a straight line, and waking up the next morning and,,,, still going!!!!   By the way Chuck, just so you and Jimi arnt the only ones who feel old, hows this?,,,,, I remember doing a speech in High School using "visual aids". What , you ask, was my speech on???,,,,,,,, GUNS! You guessed it, i brought shotguns, rifles , pistols, automatics, pumps, and ammo for all!!!!!!  To this day my kids cant believe they let me do this!!!!!!!   Tuck

When I look at my friends (and about everyone else), I realize I must be the only person beneath 35 years old that doesn't play xbox/playstation/nintendo and what have you not.

The only game I ever played through was the first part of Silent Hill, for which I had to borrow one of my friend's Playstation. I really enjoyed it, being a huge horrorfreak, but the game I started playing after that, Resident Evil, bored the hell out of me. Since then haven't touched the damn thing.

Still promising a friend for months to come and play something called Halo at his home, but am not THAT interested, plus I always got other things to do.

Pascal.

"HALO"    When that first came out, my 14 year old had a "HALO party" he had about 8 kids spend the night. A few even brought their own T.V.'s and X-boxes. I think i had like 5 televisions, and the computer going all night!!   Thank God I worked the night shift that night and missed "all the fun".   Tuck

My brother as ally toons on Mannoroth.

I love this game. I'm overly addicted to it. I remember saying "You'll never catch me playing that game. It doesn't look like fun at all."

yeah...a year later, I'm running my own guild.  :-/

FOR THE HORDE!!!!!!!

Hehehe... I knew if I did a search, SOMEone would have brought this game up!!

I've played for a while, and I'm always looking for people to play it with.  I play on a couple servers, but I'm willing to jump into a different one (PVE) if anyone wants to play sometime.

PFDAN,
Adam

Do I have to buy this game in a store or is it some thing I can download.

My eldest son is totally, completely, 100% addicted to WoW.

He plays Glerlynth on scilla.  He got the Wrath of the Lych King collectors edition for Christmas, it was the only thing he wanted.

Once hooked, it takes over ones life utterly and completely....

Precisely why Clark and I won't even start a character LOL - I think my family would starve to death if we ever started on WoW

Hey Phil... thanks for the PM... I didn't know we had any Family so close to me!!!!

WoW is a subscription game, but they have a free 10 day trial you can get to from their website. If you like it, they full game can be bought in stores, or you can pay by credit card, and just download it from their site. I bought the "core" game in a store, but downloaded one of the expansions from their site. Both seem to work equally well.

There's similar free games out there (like Perfect World), but they aren't as good imho. Decent, but just not the same!

If you like the whole fantasy genre (like Lord of the Rings type stuff), then I'd say check it out. You might like it!

Take care!!
Adam

Modified to add: Um... yeah. Just remembered. I actually downloaded BOTH the expansions that are available for the game. My DVDROM died after buying the retail version, so I couldn't install it (hehe). Game works just fine tho!

ROFLMAO Cat.

Yeah... it can be pretty addictive, but no more so than anything else. Just have to show a little restraint once in a while.

:-/ it's been an hour... time to play some more...  :-/

I have a subset of friends on WoW.  They try like fuck to get me to sample the drug... I am resisting, as I recovered from UO & EverQuest both.

Now I am on CoD:WaW when I game, and occasionally BF2142 & BF2 when my buds are on.

WoW is a collosal waste of time.

I have an X-Box that was given to me, but don't play much. I reasoned a long time ago, "Why would I want to spend hundreds of hours mastering games that will get me nowhere when I could be creating something thats gonna last?"

Not bashing gamers. Just not a huge fan

I got bored with WOW and Quake Arena a few years ago. I revisisted them a few months ago. Still boring. Actually Quake is still fun. But the trigger on my Saitek ST290 Pro joystick has become stuck for some reason. Not worth the time or money to replace it.
