You are being shown as a newbie because you only have made 5 posts to this site. Read all the links to the left of here and educate yourself, and ask all the questions you want. Soemone will answer. WE have to be our best advocate in this condition. Most Dr.s are not very knowledgable Linda |

If you are using oxygen at 15 LPM, with a no-rebreather mask, maybe it would help you to get a regulator that goes to a higher flow rate. Regulators that go to 25 LPM are getting fairly easy to find, now. Some sufferers find the higher flow rate works, where the lower (15LPM) did not.
The higher flow rate should increase your abort rate and time, significantly. Keep us informed, and don't give up hope. We are here to help! Chuck |

You're on the right track if you are flipping through doctors, a lot of them are clueless, and don't have the time a/o inclination to study up. For individual headache relief, my experience is that if a drug is not going to help, you'll know it asap, time to try another one.
Have you tried the Triptans, like Zomig or Relpax. After 30 years of drug resistant, these guys have helped me in last two episodes. It depends, but cold or hot showers have helped a few on the list, also odd things, Red Bull, Kudzu and a few more, and you don't have to wait for a prescription to at least try them. A few web sites have current CH papers and experiments on them, from places like Journal of Neurology, or Head and Face pain. I like Wiley.com, but there are others. The paper abstracts are free, but you can go to the library for the Journals, or download them for a charge. If you print off ones that look good to you, and bring them to your MD or neurologist, your chance of getting a new script or procedure will rise markedly. As someone said, you are your own best advocate, with some doctors, you are your only advocate. Warm up to the idea, sad but true. |
