Can't find an ocean near Bastrop, but I found that a river runs through it.... ;)

I found a new mountain bike trail that I've only begun to explore along the Colorado River - so far, so good.

That is gorgeous. Some HDR is way overdone, but that one's not. I haven't tried HDR (don't even thing I can with Elements, but not sure).

HDR-High Dynamic Range images enable photographers to record a greater range of tonal detail than a given camera could capture in a single photo (for those who are wondering just what the hell HDR is).

How do you do that? a special camera? I've just been getting back into photography, and I have a friend who does infrared and is going to hack my camera to do it, too...very cool stuff.

I just hold my camera out at arms length, close my eyes and turn in a circle while pressing the button. ;)
