Okay, so in my late-night interwebs trolling, I come across some schmuck who is basically ripping articles straight outta OUCH and other cluster info sites and SELLING IT IN A %$#@! BOOK!!  which, I've heard, is actually against OUCH's rules (to profit from info on their site.)

So I had a totally awesome idea-let's beat him at his own game!

He's got a Lulu site for the shilling selling of his book; so, let's make our OWN book!  For free!
See, it wouldn't have to be a real book- just something with a cover so we can show people the web adresses for our site and OUCH and others where these desperate people searching for answers can get what they need for free.

THEN I had an even BETTER idea!!!  How about we DO have a real book- but maybe not a book, maybe a journal or calendar that people can actually buy if they want to and the money can go straight to this site or OUCH etc.!!  And just by having it on there, with all the same tags and keywords, anyone looking for CH info will at least have the chance of finding these sites for free and not blowing their wad on some douchebag.

How's about a CLUSTERHEAD CALENDAR??!!  heheheee

 OuCH has known about this Falconi guy for some time now.  As I recall he didn't say or do anything illegal under copy-right law that we could do anything about.  He's still a schmuck, but hopefully harmless.

Another thing newer people must realize is that OUCH and clusterheadaches.com are two seperate entities.  OUCH was born FROM ch.com...but retains it's seperateness as a non-profit.  It's mission is this:

We encourage, support and participate in research to develop new and improved therapies and practices for treating cluster headaches.  We conduct annual conferences, attended by members from all over the world.  We establish communication with the medical, research and pharmaceutical communities to further the understanding of sufferers' needs and to encourage improved diagnosis and treatment of cluster headache.


             Here is DJ's idea of what ch.com is about:

There are a few other sites out there dealing with Cluster Headaches, but no real place to "interact" with other Cluster sufferers.  There are a few message boards where you can read posts dealing with Cluster Headaches, but sorting through all the migraine, tension, and other headache posts to find the few about Clusters is enough to bring on a headache!

Never again will you have to search, hour upon hour, for information on Cluster Headaches!  You now have a place to "hang out" that you can call our very own.  You now have a place to "vent" when you wake up at 3 a.m. with a headache, the oxygen tank is empty, and you're out of Imitrex!  

Finally...a place where you can talk to someone about how horrible your headaches are and know that they really do understand your pain.



LOL...and I was the one who made those calendars for everyone.  I can't tell you how much fun I had doing that too.  If I have the time, I might just do it with only women in it for next convention.

I vote for this guy and Chuck.....They can do every other month(solo) and for the month of july have the 2 of them wearing ( matching ) thongs, of course they would have to be red white and blue.....We could get a shot of the 2 of them oil wrestling (olive oil..with a hint of garlic).....Hopefully we could get Marc to take the photo's (after all it is for charity) ;D ;D ;D.....Lenny

Well, I'm totally up for it...what the hell...I've had a baby- once you've had your legs in the stirrups for a room full of strangers, there is no shame left to be had.   ;D ;D ;D

I'm a graphic designer, and I'll volunteer to put the whole thing together.  I could do it as a simple calendar, or I could even make it part of a day-planner...I've actually been working on a dayplanner with day and week pages, plus graphs for charting headaches and meds.  
See, if we put it up for sale on the same site that guy uses, we can put our website's address up for people to get CH info for free- and we'd end up putting the kibosh on that guy's $50 book!! MUHUWAHHAHAA (evil laugh)

BTW- that crazy guy with the guns?  I read all about him- the guns are real, the ammo is real, yes, he's living in a basement, and he's wearing a KEVLAR THONG.
