I have been searching all through this site today and the information I have received is absolutely appreciated!! I feel so much better knowing if I have any questions as a supporter I can come right here!

Joe also spoke to his Dr today and he is calling in Imitrex injectables, we are on are way to pick them up at the pharmacy. He also asked about O2, of course the Dr said insurance will be a problem but the insurance company has not dealt with me yet, either! I really read a lot information in the therapies section on O2, that will help me get through that battle; thank you, again!

I will keep updates on Joe's trails, tribulations and successes. I feel so much better than I did this morning; I really felt helpless! Thanks to you I feel stronger and I feel I can help him, now that I have the knowledge you have given me!

Feeling helpless at times I think goes with the territory of this beast for supporters and sufferers alike. I'm so glad this site as helped you in some way.

As for the insurance I'll be your cheerleader if you need one while attacking that monster as O2 is one of the two things that has given my man back his life!

I highly recommend keeping a headache diary for him listing all the normal whens, how bad, how long, what helped, how well. It's a godsend for attacking docs on treatments that aren't working and it's got the added benefit of fighting that "helpless" feeling.

Glad the information here has been of help to you so far. :)

Imitrex (sumatriptan) has recently gone generic. If Joe finds the injectables to be more effective than the Treximet pills--which I suspect that he will--discussing the generic with his doctor may be worthwhile.

Once your insurance company sees the difference between imitrex and oxygen......................they'll waver! Thanks again for being the awesome supporter you are! ;)
