Well, they try but you can circumvent a few things by blocking cookies and scripts.

Yes they do. Disabling scripts and cookies helps. I also masqurade my IP address as well. That and I have my browser miss identify itself and my system, just for grins.

For Mozilla Firefox... In about:config you can change the useragent variable, or there's an extension available that can change the user agent information for you. For Opera, it's a preference setting. For IE... ??? PFDAN...................................... Azrael's Kiss |

Hi Ken long time no see. you both beat me to it. I use the config file in FF. The rest of the time I use Konguror, and just change the browser and system settings in preferences.
for masking my IP, i have a Cisco 6240 router and I use the network management tools to rewrite my stack and lie to the Cisco Catylist 2790 that Comcast has upstream of me. Easy cheat. But then I'm lazy as you well know. [smiley=smokin.gif] |
