I'm almost 50, 30 years of these and still going strong. It would be a nice 50th birthday present if they just disappeared!
When you get a chance, let us know your routine. What do you take for an abortive, do you have a good preventative? You've got 10,000 years of CH experience on the board, maybe we can throw some suggestions your way! Welcome to the board. Joe |

Hi Jim and sorry you had to find us but now you are amongst others who can help a lot with advise.
As you have read then in so many posts that o2 is our main abortive for the majority here. Please talk to your doc about getting a script for it. You will need the following: 100% o2 with a high flow regulator of at least 15 LPM and a NON-Rebreather mask. Get on the o2 at the very first sign of an on-coming hit. By doing this I can stop a hit in a few minutes every time! There are quite a few meds available to take as a prevent. I use Verapamil at 480mg daily and so far this dosage is working fairly well for me. Pull up a chair and read all you can to the left, and let your wife know she is more than welcome to sign on in the supporters area, she will be welcomed with open arms. Nice to meet you. Barry :) |
