Johnny, I'm about ready to shoot you! As a recovering truck driver it is not fair for you to put temptation in front of me like that! It is about like offering a beer to someone leaving an AA meeting! :D

I know where you were on all but the first two shots in CO. Would love to go back through UT again, and Glenwood Canyon is breathtaking in it's beauty.

i have a few somewhere of port newark, walt whitman bridge , betsy ross bridge, and the judges organization port, and the port in camden.

I remember those raised roads enroute to Denver! Drove that route for 4 years while my littlest was going to college there! Great pics!

I'm with ya Jerry - my feet get itchy for the open road once in awhile too!

Not a snowflake on any of the big roads in your pics.......... it's white knuckle time for a lot of the guys from the south up here. The colder it is though, the less slippery. Would be nice if the big trucks knew that cause I hate getting stuck going 30 miles an hour behind one, when it takes me 4 hours to get anywhere out of town.

I know that Lewiston Grade. Have you gone down the Whitebird Grade? The old one is quite a knee knocker.....sheesh!

Straight pipes: Vance & Hines Longshots. Rumbly... They purr at idle, and BARK when I crack the throttle. Best of both worlds. 8-)

I think what bothers me about those pics is that you're taking pics while driving. Stay safe Johnny and get your eyes away from the view-finder and on the road. ;)

That's the beauty of digital. You don't have to have your eye glued to the viewfinder. I used to just hold up the camera and point toward the object I was interested in and try two or three shots. When you stop you look and delete the ones that didn't come out. Sure you miss some shots, but you can get a lot more than you would if you didn't take them at all.

for those shots I just HAD to have I would find a place to pull over and stop. Unfortunately, with a truck that is not as easy as with a car.

most of those were cell phone pics. allot of them i do stop for. one thing about those rockie mountain interstate is that your usually the only one out there. 50 to 100 miles between fuel stops. i don't know any other way to describe how remote those places are. its not the end of the earth but you can see it from there. :o
