For my Mom, she is 82 years young. She has her own house, and drives a car (I monitor that one myself) and is quite active.
Today she called complaining that she could not breath very well, so we got her to the ER right away. While me, Angie and my oldest brother Jim were with her she had Congested heart failure, and the doc said this is not good, thought she was gone.

She is stable now and in ICU, so I ask if you all can send some prayers and vibes her way, we would really appreciate them.

My very best to her, Barry. I've been out of the medical field for a long time, and I'm not sure what they are doing for CHF, now. (or if there's much they can do...) Very best wishes for her healing and comfort, and to you and your family, as well.

You know you've got my prayers! Just keep in mind that CHF is something that one can recover from, depending on the reasoning for it.  It's not like some organ failure where you hear "failure" and the next step is transplant because it is irreversible.  Congestive Heart Failure can be a condition that a patient can get through, depending on the cause.

You and your family have all of my prayers for her speedy recovery!  Hang in there!!!

Sorry to hear about your Mom, Barry.  Hang in there - they can do some amazing things these days for CHF.  Bill had the same issue 8 years ago - and he's doing fine.

My Mom has improved and looked better today. She is not out of the woods yet, but I see the improvements with her. She is going to Newmarket Hospital at anytime now to have more tests and probably a stint.

This place never ceases to amaze me, I asked for some prayers and each and everyone of you came to my side to support and send prayers.

Also, the last time I tryed to mail something to Canada, I was told by the clerk  That I have to spell CANADA out in CAPS on the envelope, or it will be returned.   Just a fyi who will be sending a card.

I have some great news about my Mom!! [smiley=sayyes.gif]

I just got home from seeing her and I cannot believe what I saw. I walked into ICU and there she was sitting up in a chair putting her lipstick on! I am shocked on how much she has improved in such little time. She will be moved to a room as soon as one becomes available. 

I told her you were all asking about her and she got a little teary eyed and asked if I would say Thank-You from her. She seemed more concerned that we all share the CH's and is saddened that so many of us suffer with them. That is the way she is, more concerned about the other guy! ;)

I know the power of this place and cannot help but think that all your prayers and vibes helped my Mom get through this, and a great big huge thanks to everyone for all your support for the Sword family. [smiley=engel017.gif]

it's a "MOM" thing Barry and yours sounds like someone I would just love to meet and have coffee with if I ever get up in your neck of the woods.
