Title: kilowatt3 herbal remedy
Post by Heather on Jan 10th, 2009 at 6:49pm
Can anyone tell me if this recipe is correct?  I finally got my boyfriend to try something and he decided to go with this.  But when I bought the Kudzu I noticed it comes in 100 mg pills.  I wanted to make sure he should be taking 10 pills 2x a day before he actually takes it.  Can anyone tell me if the 1000 mg was meant to be 100 mg?  Also I was told that no more than 5 mg of Melatonin should be taken a day.  Is it dangerous to take 10 mg of Melatonin?
Kudzu - 1000 mg, 2x per day (morning & night)
Magnesium - 250 mg, 2x per day (morning & night)
St. John's Wort - 300 mg, 2x per day (morning & night)
Skullcap - 425 mg at bedtime
Melatonin - 10 mg at bedtime
Does anyone have any information about this?

Hi Heather,

Yes, your recipe is correct.  Those kudzu pills you got are a very light dose!  The tablets I have found in the stores have all been 1000 mg, so two a day is all that's needed.

As for the melatonin, the 10 mg in the regimen was based on experiences of quite a few people who were taking it at that dose.  As a sleep aid, it's usually taken in much smaller doses, but as a CH preventative, 10 mg is pretty typical.  It is not dangerous.

Glad to see you're trying out the mix!  Good luck, and please post again with your results!

Best regards,
Jim

Thanks for responding so quickly.  It's bedtime and I was afraid we'd waiste another night with the wrong dose.  Thanks for the recipe.
